The little swift Manou grows up believing he's a seagull. Learning to fly he finds out he never will be. Shocked, he runs away from home. He meets birds of his own species and finds out who he really is. When both seagulls and swifts face a dangerous threat, Manou becomes the hero of the day.

Hearing Willem Dafoe's voice early in the morning is soothing.
Movie-wise it was ok.. nothing exciting.

Oh, yeah, this makes perfect sense for a German VFX studio to make as their first and only animated film. No experience in character design, or character animation, or writing, or whatever. Perfectly in line for an obscure early to mid 2010s animated film

Andrea Block and Christian Haas’s animation. Manou’s world is turned upside down as he discovers that he is not a seagull like he thought, and sets of to learn his true identity.
Believing he is a seagull, a bird called Manou finds out that he is essentially a swift who was adopted. When disaster hits, Manou sets off on a expedition to absorb his actual identity – and rescue his buddies and family along the way.
Josh Keaton gives an okay voice performance in his role as Manou, the swift who finds out that he is not a seagull, but doesn’t show a great deal of determination in attempting to find out who he actually is, or trying to stop…
Honestly it occurred to me I could put whatever I want in this review and no one can fact check me because no one else will ever watch this movie.
This movie was trash bro, but it confirmed my suspicions that all birds are assholes.
So the good elements of the movie: the score was surprisingly effective and actually added a lot to the scenes. The animation on everything EXCEPT the characters was good. It’s kind of like the Good Dinosaur where everything looks life-like except for the characters. And obviously Willem Defoe put his whole Defussy into this movie. But I got clickbaited as he wasn’t even the main character.
