I purchased over two dozen windows for my new home under the belief these windows would last and perform better than the competitors. After a little over 11 years, I have eight window sashes that are deteriorating. I contacted Andersen, and they refuse to accept responsibility to replace them based on their warranty. They stated that ‘not all their windows come out of the factory with the same standards.’ Therefore, I am left responsible for replacing them at my cost.”

“We built our new home [and] had Andersen vinyl-clad windows installed. Approximately 13 or 14 years later, the vinyl started to shrink and pull apart at the corners of the frames. Due to this, it exposed the wood to the weather and water. The windows began to rot. I contacted Andersen, and they sent someone out to inspect the windows. He said they had a fix for this problem, but our windows were too bad for the fix. I continued to complain, and they told me they would give me a 10% discount to replace the windows. I took that to be a joke!! I have never gotten any help for the windows and am going to have to replace all 21 of my windows with another brand at a cost of $46,000.”
