Giannina Facio, Lady Scott, a Costa Rican actress, was born Giannina Facio Franco on September 10, 1955. She is most known for appearing in films that her British husband Sir Ridley Scott, who is also an actor, has directed and produced.

She has been Scott’s companion ever since they first worked together on the movie White Squall after Hannibal. In two films, including Body of Lies, she plays the wife of Russell Crowe’s character. The original was Gladiator. After White Squall, Facio has appeared in every film Scott has made, with the exception of American Gangster and The Martian.

On September 10, 1955, in San José, Costa Rica, she was born Giannina Facio Franco to lawyer, politician, and diplomat Gonzalo Facio Segreda (1918-2018) and his second wife Ana Franco Calzia. Carla and Ana Catalina are her sisters. She also has three older half-siblings, Sandra, Alda, and Rómulo (whose mother is Mara Lilia Montejo Ortuo), from her father’s first marriage.
