Griffins Run at Amy Adams Memorial

The Seton Hill track and field teams continued their spring outdoor season at the Amy Adams Memorial at Muskingum University on Saturday afternoon.  

The teams combined for 23 top eight finishes and six first place finishes.  The women had twelve top eights and two first place finishes.  The men had eleven top eights and four first place finishes.  

The men's team got first place finishes from Cody Scherle, John Giansante, Ben Hartman and Jacy Willis.  Scherle won the javelin with a toss of 54.73 meters.  Giansante won the triple jump with a leap of 13.80 meters.  Hartman won the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.60 seconds.  Willis won the 400 in a time of 49.49.  

The women's team got first place finishes from Koschinya Jefferson and Natasha Bernett.  Jefferson won the 100 in a time of 12.38 seconds.  Bernett won the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:03.92.  

Angelo Allen was second in the shot put with a toss of 15.28 meters.  Andrew Campbell was third in the 100 in a time of 10.85 seconds.  Ben Kissell was fourth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 58.61 seconds.  Kissell was also fifth in the pole vault, clearing 4.12 meters.  Tony Sacco was fifth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.37 seconds.  Dwight Sarver was sixth in the discus with a toss of 40.32 meters.  Blaise Verrastro was eighth in the 100 in a time of 11.24 seconds.  

Sarah Gilliam was second in the hammer with a toss of 46.02 meters.  Gilliam was also sixth in the shot put with a toss of 10.80 meters.  Haley Brenny was second in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:07.60.  Anna Roberts placed third in the event with a time of 1:08.70 and Keelin Becker was fourth in a time of 1:09.29.  Becker was also third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.66 meters.  Alyssa Scalia was fourth in the javelin with a toss of 29.40 meters.  Ayiana Martin was fourth in the 100 with a time of 12.82.  Kate Pipilo was fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:24.58.  Nora Ozimek was eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.78 meters.  

The team will be off next week for the holiday and return to action at the Bob Lewis Classic at Frostburg on April 5th.
