Yes, in 2024 people live in the Amityville Horror House today.
The Amityville haunted house still stands to this day at it's original location of 112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville NY 11701. Many people and families over the generations have lived in the large Colonial Dutch Style House.
The once Horror House is located in a particular area on Long Island. The Amityville Horror House is geographically located on Long Island's South Shore. Outside of the East End of Long Island Towns, for the most part the South Shore towns are often seen as less valuable vs the homes located on the North Shore.
The one exception to this North vs South Shore value based rule was if the house was located directly on the beach facing the Atlantic Ocean. For the Amityville Horror House this was the case. The houses in Amityville within that region are expensive and for the wealthy class.
Although as you can guess, the property value dropped after the infamous mass-murder of a family of 6.
So, this begs the question who would want to live there? Based on the fact that they know such an atrocity took place there.
Most people were too creeped out to purchase the home because of the many conspiracies and paranormal theories that arose in the aftermath.
