'I won't lie, I've been nervous as hell,' confessed Ronan.

'When I saw him walk into the villa my heart was beating out of my chest.

'I'm excited for him though, this is something he wanted to do, and I'll always support him and all my kids in their endeavours.

Jack was seen on Sunday's Love Island getting to know Gemma, 19, whose father is England football legend, Michael Owen.

The new arrival told Gemma that he wouldn't be attracted to a woman that isn't family orientated, as the pair bonded over the closeness they share with their loved ones at home.

He said: 'I work in social media marketing so I basically just sit on Instagram all day just hitting up influencers.

'I moved up to London last year. My mum lives in Ireland, my mum and my little sister are big into show jumping, and I know you're big into it.

'My dad is a singer. Do you know Ronan Keating? That's the old man.

'I am very family orientated, my parents are separated, and my dad remarried five or six years ago. I live with my dad and my sister and his family now.

'It would be something that I look for in a girl, someone that isn't family orientated I'd be like… I've got a big, crazy family at home, so you best be ready for that.'

The Dublin-born influencer confessed to being unlucky in love so far and hoped signing up to Love Island would mark the end of his dating woes.

He said: 'I've been single now for a long time, probably four or five years now and I've really been missing that spark that I haven't been getting on the dating scene.

'I've been dating for a long time, and I just thought "why not?" Hopefully, I'll get a connection with somebody and see what happens.'
