PLOT: John Kennedy Junior DOCU-DRAMA BIO ~ more fluf than fact~ interesting~none the less~ John Kennedy Junior was the son of a President and heir to the hopes of a nation. VERY handsome he is seen here being pushed by his mother Jaqueline Bissett as Jackie Kennedy Onasis IS portayed a "cold mother" who was more worried about his education than his happiness. This is done in National Inquire fashion~ a person talks into the camera~ and refects their memory of JOHN this makes this very superficial~ John goes from colledge age to age 39 IN one hour~ the death of Jackie is where we see 'some' emotions including his very public break up with Daryl Hannah the actress who basically flips her hair and always cries on this version~ soon John fails the NEW YORK bar exam AGAIN and ends up a DA but hates it~ HE meets pretty fashion consultant Carolyn Bessette (Portia De Rossi) is very good~ John starts GEORGE magazine which is basically seen as another "failure" ~ every fight between Carolyn and his co workers is photographed and ends up in a trashy tabloid cover photo~ this detracts from getting to LIKE John who is always HOUNDED by the press and every woman who sees him~ John(Kristopher Palah) is very good~ as John ~HE LOOKS like John and moves like him and the hair is "perfect" but this never allows us to see John other than emotionless and unkind to both his lovers and family. The END is abrupt where we see the plane take off and yet another news hound relaying the CRASH and cause~ A FLUF PIECE BIO~ I GIVE IT 3 OUT OF 5 BECAUSE WE SEE MORE NATIONAL ENQUIRE AND GLOBE COVERS than we do action.BASED on the book the DAY JOHN DIED~ A DOCUDRAMA WORTH WATCHING JUST ONCE~ IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE~Read full review
Really enjoyed it. Had always like JFK, Jr. and reading about or seeing him on TV. The DVD did a good job in presenting him as he was in reality. Would recommend to anyone who felt the way I did. Was very sad the way an enriching and promising life like he had was cut so short and way to soon.
I purchased the movie for the history of Kennedy, this is not what I was looking for therefore I have not watched the movie at all.yet it plays great for the first 5 minutes of the DVD.
Better than I thought. Very comprehensive. I took a chance because of the price, and my love for biographical material.
i seen this movie on t.v. so i wanted it it was a great movie i like alot of true stories and yes i would buy this movie again
