Score $5 Movie Tickets at AMC Theatres During Black History Month - Parade Skip to main content

AMC Theatres is celebrating Black History Month by offering special deals on movie tickets.

This February, the chain is "giving moviegoers the opportunity to revisit some of the most recent biographical dramas, military epics, and dramatic action movies created by or starring outstanding Black filmmakers and actors like Ryan Coogler, Jonathan Majors, Angela Bassett and Viola Davis," per the brand's announcement.

Starting Friday (Feb. 3), the brand is offering discounts on "fan fave" films, giving customers a chance to view the Black-led productions for a fraction of the cost in an effort to "honor the accomplishments of the movies and the people who brought their stories to life."

For just $5, fans can watch a variety of recently-released features including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Woman King, Till, and Devotion.

The deal will apply to one movie each week, starting with Till from Feb. 3-9; Devotion from Feb. 10-16; The Woman King from Feb. 17-23; and concluding with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is still in its initial theatrical run, from Feb. 24-March 2.

“AMC has a long-standing commitment and track record of inclusive programming and initiatives that highlight diverse, creative talent behind the camera and on the big screen,” said Elizabeth Frank, AMC’s executive VP of worldwide programming and chief content officer.

Frank added: “This programming initiative, which perfectly aligns with AMC’s inclusive programming, originated from the Council on the AMC African American Experience, an internal group of associates that strengthens AMC’s culture by defining opportunities to embrace diversity, lead with fairness and impartiality, and create a more inclusive work environment.”
