Reserved seating recliners make this a moviegoer must. Besides having plenty of room with comfortable reclining seats, the reserved seating eliminates the need to get to the theater early to get the "best seats." The only downside is they don't always show the blockbusters or top new movies - so make sure to check to see what they are showing first. Other than that, good location with a solid selection of bars and restaurants in the area. My favorite place to see a movie in DC or Virginia.

AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 is a surprise remake. This used to be a site for 8 small theaters with just standard seating. You had to climb stairs or go down levels just to go see movies on not so big screens. But several years ago they modified this facility with comfortable recliner seats. So now the movie experience on a smaller screen doesn't matter because the feeling is that you are now watching a movie in the comfort of your own home, sitting in multi-position recliners, on a large screen, intimately with friends.
The new larger and very comfortable seats have made the smaller screen more cozy and personal, making a whole new and wonderful experience to enjoy movies. They also have a variety of snack foods for you to munch on - hotdog, popcorn, pizza, nachos, pretzels and candies to fill any craving.
After you have seen a movie here and enjoyed the creature comforts, you don't want to go anywhere else to see a movie. (Even the stairs don't matter - there is an elevator for the elderly). And that is why it is always sold out and you have to book your seats in advance. But who cares, when it's so enjoyable!!!

Great new seating, very comfortable. But the seating is very limited and they raised the prices. Popular shows sell out much quicker than they used to. Lots of free parking nearby.

Overall this is a nice theater I like that they have a bar where you can order drinks and food, the only complaint I would have is that it needs to be a little cleaner.

Yes, the theater is comfortable and the seats are recline. The air conditioning is on the fritz and it is quite warm in the theater, in addition to a loud buzzing noise that the staff says cannot be helped. The movie was scheduled to begin at 10:15, but there were 25 minutes of previews and refreshment commercials. The movie didn't actually start until 10:40! This is for ticket prices that are more than $14--standard theater, not Imax or 3D.
This theater used to start showing the film 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. So now the start time has slipped to 25 minutes. Ridiculous! If a theater feels the need to have 25 minutes of commercials after the scheduled start time, then it should publish this slop time. Let customers understand when the movie really starts.

This is my first choice for theaters in Arlington. The seats recline and you can reserve seats. There is usually parking in the lot outside which is convenient. Avoid the parking garage.

I always love seeing movies here. It was the first movie theater in the area to add the comfortable seats. It is in a great location and there is always something to do in the area

Good venue, always have the first run movie selection. Directly in front of the Clarendon Metro stop.

What most people don't understand about this place is that seating is assigned via your ticket, which doesn't make for good spontaneous movie trips. Book your seats a few days ahead online and get your pick of the seats (theaters are small). The chairs in the theater are fully automatic reclining leather seats. Super comfortable and luxurious.

Nice seats with recliners. Prices are little bit steep, Theaters are small, so book new releases ahead of time or you may be disappointed when you arrive. Easy access to Metro and walking distance from Clarendon.
