Great experience today on the glass bottom boat shipwreck tour. The narration was top notch-we learned the stories of several shipwrecks which were so interesting. We were able to view 4 shipwrecks today ( the number of shipwrecks is very weather dependent-we had calm seas today) both through the viewing windows in the bottom of the boat as well as from the top deck. Polarized sunglasses make for better viewing-we always wear those, but they do sell them onboard for $5. Be aware, you will not see shipwrecks where the boats are completely intact. You will see parts of ships. Keep in mind that at least one of the wrecks is pre-Civil War! Crew was helpful and friendly and answered questions from the passengers. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are sold on board. You are permitted to bring your own, but no coolers, no alcohol. We had a noon cruise and brought sandwiches and water. If you enjoy maritime history or just a pleasant boat ride, this is the trip for you. We enjoyed it so much! And we had a bonus-going out of the bay, we closely passed a huge freighter and were given a loud horn greeting. When we got back in the river, the freighter had moored-we passed it closely-about 20 feet away. Quite a sight!
