With the unrated cut of M3GAN now on Peacock, Allison Williams opened up about the gory scene in the Blumhouse horror flick that left her sick to her stomach.

While speaking with USA Today, Williams shared, “It should be when a child perishes, but at one point, someone’s face loses a fight with a pressure washer and it starts to peel off.”

The actor was disgusted, despite having witnessed the behind the scenes work and special effects makeup.

“It just grosses me out. I don’t do well with gore in general, so that moment is particularly gnarly to me,” Williams added.

In the movie, Williams plays Gemma, a roboticist who takes in her niece, Cady (Violet McGraw), after a tragic accident leaves the young girl without parents. Gemma introduces Cady to a child-like robotic doll named M3GAN (voiced by Jenna Davis) who turns to sinister behavior to keep the traumatized girl from further harm.

The scene that Williams mentioned involved Gemma’s whiny neighbor, Celia, played by Lori Dungey, who has blamed the family for losing her dog. Once M3GAN gets ahold of Celia, she points a pressure washer to her face. In the PG-13 version, the scene ends before anything explicit can be shown, but the unrated cut includes a shot of Celia’s skin flying off her face.

The Twitter account for the movie teased the unrated release last month with a sassy clip of the robot doll, who claims that she’s “leaking” the unrated version of the movie that “corporate suits” didn’t want viewers to see. In the promo, M3GAN then asks, “Did my announcement create excitement or anxiety?”

In a recent interview with Decider’s Anna Menta, the creator of the horror hit revealed details about the anticipated sequel. “We do kind of know where we’re going with the sequel right now, but it’s still a work in progress. We’re not looking at like, ‘Oh, we have to include this in the movie, so that it says something.’ First things first, we’re working on character, character development, and getting that story straight and correct,” Akela Cooper said.

She also teased the unrated cut, saying, “Overall, there are more curse words explicitly put back in, and a little bit more blood. I know Brandon’s ear-tearing scene is longer. When David [Ronny Chieng] dies, he gets, you know, the full knife through the chest. It’s stuff like that.”

M3GAN is currently streaming on Peacock.
