Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos plan ‘All My Children’ return

There’s apparently still drama left in Pine Valley.

Husband-and-wife “All My Children” alums Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are developing a prime-time reboot of ABC’s daytime soap — titled “Pine Valley,” after the show’s fictional Pennsylvania setting.

As reported by Deadline, the series will also be produced by Andrew Stearn (“Tales of the City,” “Shameless”) and Robert Nixon, the Oscar-nominated son of “All My Children” creator Agnes Nixon, who died at age 93 in 2016.

The sequel, to be executive produced and written by Leo Richardson (“Star”), would follow a young journalist who snoops around the dark pasts of the show’s Kane — that would include the legendary Erica, as played by Susan Lucci — and Santos families.

Ripa, 50, and Consuelos, 49, played Hayley and Mateo Santos on “All My Children,” which aired on ABC for 41 years until 2011 but was followed by a brief streaming reboot in 2013.

No new casting was announced, nor was any information about which “All My Children” actors might reprise their original roles.
