Kyle Richards and her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky joked about what they will each be ‘getting in the divorce’.
In season two of Buying Beverly Hills, the reality TV personality, 55, and the real estate broker, 53, were seen bantering after news broke that they had separated after 27 years of marriage.
In a recent episode of the Netflix series — which also included a scene with Umansky admitting he was afraid to ask his estranged wife if she is dating her close friend, Morgan Wade, 29 — the estranged couple were seen preparing dinner together as they discussed how they would talk to their daughters.
The pair are parents to Portia, 16, Sophia, 24, Alexia, 27, as well as Richards’ daughter Farrah, 35, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
When the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star put on a red apron, Umansky joked that it was his.

In a recent episode of the Netflix series, the estranged couple were seen preparing dinner together as they discussed how they would talk to their daughters. When the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star put on a red apron, Umansky joked that it was his. Richards then quipped: ‘You can have it. That’s all you’re getting’
‘I’m getting that in the divorce,’ he said. ‘That’s my apron. You can borrow it for now.’
Richards then quipped: ‘You can have it. That’s all you’re getting.’
The following scene showed the pair sitting down with their daughters to address their separation news.
‘We should talk about that now that we’re all here by the way,’ Richard began after they gathered their kids.
‘Because coming out of the blue what happened, it kind of blindsided all of us,’ she continued. ‘I know it was a lot.’
She added: ‘I really am sorry about that because it’s not fair to you guys. I’m just used to it.’
Their daughter Sophia said that it was ‘different’ and ‘hard’ because they did not know ‘the whole story’.
‘This time was different because everyone was reaching out,’ she admitted. ‘My phone was blowing up with people reaching out.

Earlier this month, Richards admitted that she had been ‘curious’ to kiss a woman in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale – and spoke out on dating rumors surrounding herself and Wade. She also became tearful when addressing cheating rumors surrounding her estranged husband. During the reunion, she said that it was ‘nobody’s f***ing business’ as to the reasoning behind the separation
‘I opened Instagram and it was everywhere. It was definitely hard feeling like maybe I don’t know the whole story,’ she added.
‘We have had a hard year. It is work,’ Richards responded as Umansky agreed.
‘It’s hard as a parent trying to find the balance with being honest with you guys and not oversharing,’ Richards admitted. ‘Some stuff is private between us. It just is. So I’m sorry if you feel like I haven’t shared enough, but that’s why.’
The pair continued to navigate their separation throughout the season two episodes even as Umansky admitted in an episode near the finale that he hadn’t had a real conversation with his wife in ‘two months’ and discussed his thoughts about moving out.
Umansky also admitted that he has never once asked his estranged wife if she is officially dating Wade – despite the widespread speculation.
She was linked to the Wilder Days hitmaker, 29, soon after she announced her split from Umansky last July.
On Buying Beverly Hills, he addressed the state of their relationship and revealed he hadn’t been able to pluck up the courage to ask his wife directly about her undeniable ‘connection’ with Wade.
Speaking to a colleague in the final episode, Umansky confessed: ‘I have not asked her straight up. There’s a lot of news on the two of them: are they dating, are they not dating?

‘Honestly, I never asked straight up.’
His business partner then probed: ‘Are you curious?’
‘They definitely have some sort of connection together, there’s no doubt about that,’ Umansky replied.
‘They spend a lot of time together. What that connection is, I have no idea. One of the reasons I don’t want to ask is I don’t want to put the extra pressure on her.
‘If it’s working for her and giving her the opportunity to be dealing with our separation and what we’re dealing with, then I’m good with that.’
Richards and Umansky announced their split last July after 27 years of marriage.
The estranged couple tied the knot in 1996.

She then brought up a comment she had made in the season 13 finale about how something in their marriage ‘made [her] lose [her] trust’.
Getting emotional, she told host Andy Cohen: ‘With any marriage there’s issues that you have, and they come up, and then something like I said in my interview happened where I did lose my trust.’

‘I care about my family first, and I really did try, and then when I couldn’t, the kind of things that I was – I don’t want to say putting up with – just became more apparent to me.’
She continued: ‘I guess I couldn’t do that anymore and I finally just had a breaking point.’
Richards and Umansky’s separation is a major storyline in the newly released second season of Buying Beverly Hills.
In one scene, Umansky sat down with their three eldest daughters Farrah, Alexia, and Sophia, and revealed Richards instructed him to go out and date.
‘I had an amazing 26 years with your mom, and I wanted to do everything possible to just save it,’ he said.
‘Your mom came and she talked to me and said, “I think I need space.”
‘She said to me, “Listen, the rules are: you go out, you date, you do whatever it is you want to do.
“I’m not going to be asking you what you’re doing, I don’t want you to be asking me what I’m doing. We are separated.”‘
The estranged couple tied the knot in 1996 and share three biological children as well as Richards’ daughter Farrah from her first marriage
His children wiped away tears as they process the news before Umansky said he may spend a month in Aspen to ‘clear’ his head.
‘Our life has just changed so much,’ Sophia said as her eyes welled up. ‘We only even found out that there was any issues just a few months ago and now it just is like… things change so quickly.’
Farrah, who ended her engagement with her longtime boyfriend Alex Manos last year, agreed and admitted that she could have never predicted this a year ago.
‘It’s so weird to even be having these conversations,’ she told her stepdad, who is also her boss at The Agency.
Alexia was the last to break her silence as she expressed how ‘sorry’ she is that they all have to go ‘through this.’
