Some players do wear it that way. I've seen country players who have Telecasters with B-string benders do it cause it's easier to do the bend using that shoulder.

George, prior to the photo, had taken off the guitar and was finished with the photoshoot. I believe the photographer suggested to get a couple more, one of which is the picture that made the cover. He sort of slung the guitar over his shoulder and posed awkwardly.

Damn, thats pretty interesting. I thought it was strange as from all the pictures i’ve seen of George live and in the studio he never wore his strap like this - so this makes more sense lol.
