Bad dish warp, as well as loud pops throughout the album. Avoid this pressing!

i added a new entry for a 2021 Barnes and Noble release on clear vinyl with gold splatter. but i'm still kinda new to discogs and couldn't figure out how to have it show up here with other versions of this album. link here: https://www.discogs.com/Al-Green-Greatest-Hits/release/19532197

Flat uninspiring sound. Pressing has many 1-2 mm dents - mainly on side b 3x3 cm section of dents distributed in a x-shape.

Received mine today and it sounds great. It contains the "love and happiness", one of my favorite. Just Chill!!!!

I have a reissue. There's surface noise all the way through the first side. Really disappointing. There's also a very weird mailer included where Fat Possum is asking for my annual income and an outline of my house key! Every time Fat Possum is mentioned, there's the tagline "We're trying our best." Sorry, Fat Possum - your best isn't good enough.

I thought that this re-issue sounded very nice. Although others clearly have a different thoughts on the sound of it, I thought it sounded pretty good. Has an slick mastering process done to it, and it sounds great in person.
Although there is one issue that I have with it, is that the record certainly had a lot of some kind of white substance on it, presumably from the pressing plant. It was strange as no other new record I've bought has looked like this, but even with that taken into it, it wasn't too much on there. I cleaned it before I even played it, and when playing the record the stylus was digging gunk out of the grooves as if it was some Very Good (VG) grade record with some caked in dirt in it. However it was that white substance again! So the first playthrough had a little crackle to it on each track, but second time in that was all gone. And keep in mind, I was careful when cleaning it like I am with all my records. So that crackle wasn't because of my cleaning job, but it was because of that white substance.
Comparing this to the digital download card it came with (a very welcome and unexpected surprise), they sound similar, however it feels like the record sounds different than just the files. And I tested both side by side, and the vinyl has just that much more above it in sound quality. For the price you can get this re-issue ($20) I still definitely recommend it for anybody to get their Soul / Al Green fill on wax. Even with what I said about the pressing, this compilation stands the test of time, and Fat Possum still delivers quality as usual.

This reissue sound horrible. Flat, digital and just bad. When will they reissue this classic properly from the analog tapes with good mastering?

"Love and Happiness" written on the cover but not on vinyl labels. And not in the playlist.
So...?
