This is not NY style pizza--more reminiscent of a frozen pizza than anything else. The dough lacks a rich flavor and the cheese is rubbery. We brought our pizza home and it was cold. They're generous with their toppings but it's not a quality pie.

This is hands down the best pizza in Manhattan. They have great lunch deals for a slice, but it's so good, you'll really want a whole pizza. The pizza bricks are also fantastic. Highly recommend this pizza place!

Came here with my sister for the first time and we had a great experience. We got the small Nolita salad, buffalo chicken wings and the chicken Alfredo pizza with mushrooms and olives. Every thing was so delicious. Our salad came with a garlic knot which was basically just hard bread, so I wouldn't order the garlic knots but everything else was awesome. Will definitely be back.

I really like AJ's pizza! I came here on a football game weekend with my visiting guests. Three of us ordered pizza and one ordered a salad. Her salad got lost in the tickets and it never came. Luckily we had enough pizza to share while the kitchen put her salad together. Not only did she get a refund, but she also got a $10 gift card. Since she lives in Omaha, I got to benefit from her gift card.
I returned tonight to pick up a pizza right before closing, which was no problem when I called. I stuck with what I tried last time - the bianco, which has garlic oil and ricotta under mozzarella. It is really delicious and simple. Just a splash of red pepper flakes makes this pizza just perfect. I recommend AJ's for a good slice of pizza or a whole one - there are lots of specialty pies and you can make your own. One slice can be enough for a meal! - Tamara W.Fort Worth, TX695818/25/2016
Pizza looked great but had no flavor, crust might as well had been cardboard. I ordered Bianca add pepperoni, Italian sausage. Could not taste any garlic. I've had better pizza at Pizza Hut & dominos.
Didn't taste like any New York style pizza I've ever had, will not go back. - tina s.Lawrence, KS362465/22/2017
Actually 3 1/2 stars
Had lunch with a coworker last week while in town for an appointment.
Ordered the 18th & 8th meat slice. Huge slice by the way. The crust is a little too thick to be called New York style. The cheese wasn't as melty as I normally like. And yes the sauce a little sweet for my tastes. However still a little more than ok slice.
Highlight: garlic knot. Delicious, chewy, buttery, loaded with a sprinkling of diced toasty sweet garlic. - Arlene T.Mililani, HI9523195/3/2020
AJ's Pizzeria is hands down the best pizza join in MHK. My husband loves 18th and 8th, but I love the Big Apple pizza. You can get their pizza by the slice or by the pie, either way, their ingredients are very fresh and their crusts are always on point. We also enjoy getting their pepperoni bricks! They are so flavorful and delicious! I

Decent pizza with mediocre sides. They have beer specials and I'm sure that's popular. Salad looks good. We had The bbq chicken pizza-decent, the garlic knots-need more garlic and butter, and the toasted ravioli- need something. The soda was great though lol

I wish I could give this place the full 5 stars but the service always leaves me disappointed. We moved here just about a year ago and were sorely disappointed with the pizza options in the area until we stumbled upon Aj's. The pizza was on par with what we were used to in New England and the salads always seem fresh. I really enjoy their curbside pickup option as someone who continues to take all COVID precautions. But I had noticed that the employee bringing out our order has NEVER worn a mask, despite providing a service aimed at mitigating exposure. Well last night when I had called in to pickup I decided to ask for them to be masked as I have a newborn in the car now. Well I was met with an extremely rude attitude and an immediate response of "we don't have any masks here." Dumbfounded, I had a hard time finding words especially as Manhattan had just put in a effect a mask regulation that they were blatantly in violation of. They rudely followed up with "we can just put it on the hood of your car" and with no other option I accepted. 20 mins later they come out with a mask and obviously agitated they place it in my trunk without a word. I understand the employees are predominantly college students but the attitude I was met with today was unacceptable and rude. Taking precautions is not something I feel should be the root of poor service and will make me think twice before making way to AJ's the next time we have a pizza craving.

Not real impressed..
#1 No clean tables (asked for table to be wiped down and ended up doing it myself)
#2 No sweet tea
#3 Toasted ravioli...no flavor, very little filling, cold dipping sauce, these were the same type you can buy at Sam's club.
#4 Pizza was ok. The sauce was bland but the pizza crust was thin and crisp (I did like that)
Well we probably won't be back
