Reviews:

K family is the best host I’ve ever met in Airbnb. They are very hands-on and caring hosts. They even picked us up at the train station upon arrival and also brought us back upon departure for easy transportation to the airport. Staying at their place is like staying at a hotel. I love them! The apartment is just like in the pics. It would have been perfect if there was a bathtub, but still, we loved the place. – Apple

Reviews:

Sweet, charming, traditional style home in a quiet but easy to get to the neighborhood. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 (parents, 1 teen, 1 elementary-aged child). Clean, very quiet, and safe neighborhood in easy walking distance to local Sugamo eating and shopping street and trains. It was easy to get to and from Narita airport on the train, easy to get to all other areas of Tokyo we wanted to explore as Sugamo is a stop on the central JR circle Yamanote line. Friendly and easy to reach host who has put together a whole guide to the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this house if you are looking to have a real “off the beaten path but in easy reach of the city” experience. The local Onsen is beautiful and clean, but you cannot enter if you have any size tattoo (the staff is kind and gracious about it though). Another note for foreign guests: the fastest paths to the stations are through or alongside cemeteries. They are beautiful and well used, but might surprise you if you arrive by train in the dark! – Sm

Reviews:

The place was super clean and as advertised. The view was beautiful and the 15 min walk to the surrounding areas and stations weren’t a bother at all. Most of the time with everything to see along the way you couldn’t even tell. There was a 7-Eleven right around the corner and a cute little bar right downstairs. I’m happy that the hosts still had us amongst the pandemic before we were forced to go home by our state. The area had so much more than I had expected and glad I got to experience staying here this time. – Alexis

Reviews:

The overall experience was superb! Tajyu-san and Nobu-san were very responsive to our needs from the time of booking until we check out. The map and directions to their house were also accurate. Every member of Tajyu’s family was warm, helpful, and hospitable, they always ensure that we feel at home. Their beautiful home is suitable for a family of 6 and is also baby-friendly because it was clutter-free and mattresses were on the floor. Her daughter Sara was even willing to lend some toys to our 11-month old baby. I also appreciate Tajyu for preparing rice porridge for our baby and our daily breakfast. She even let us wear yukata for photo opportunities. Excellent service and hospitality exceeded our expectations. Staying in Tajyu’s house was worth it! It was a memorable 8-night stay. I would rather stay again in Tajyu’s house than in a 5-star hotel. You are indeed a Super Host! 🙂 Thanks again for the friendship and for making us feel like family. Until we see each other again. – Ynah

By far the best place I’ve stayed in Tokyo. If you want to avoid crowded places (Shinjuku etc.) because of COVID, and still want to be close to the city center this is the perfect place. The Check-in process, cleanliness of the room, amenities everything was 10/10, very well organized. The very quiet neighborhood even though it’s only a 15-minute walk to Tokyo Station. I should say that I was surprised by how perfect everything was. On my next visit, this is the place where I will stay for sure. 100% recommended. Thank you! – Aytok

Amazing apartment! Great for creative work and relaxing times. Everything is exactly what you might expect. Clean and great location, very nice area with access to just about anywhere you might want to visit. A small walk from local neighborhood spots and Yoyogi park. The only small detail to mention is in case your a light sleeper, this apartment is beside a major highway so the traffic is a river of sounds in this particular corner unit. Make sure to bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to traffic sounds. But otherwise, it’s perfect! And rather spacious for Tokyo as well. – Clayton
