The air Asia staff at KL airport made us wait 2 hours just to check if our visa is legitimate despite us carrying all legitimate visa, she really gave us a very hard time and we had to rush to the flight eventhough we had come in early, please do not keep untrained staff at the airport and kind advice to all people is to never fly in AirAsia, I had the worst possible experience.

I flew from Bangkok to Siem Reap, and although in Thailand I had no problem with the luggage, in the return flight from Cambodia I had to pay extra 50$ for the same luggage. The check-in lady was very rude.

AirAsia lacks compassion for trip cancellation due to medical emergencies. Unlike other reputable airlines, AirAsia will not give refund; only credit minus cancellation fee and mandatory usage within 2 years. Provided multiple documentation at their request only to be denied refund. AirAsia should recognize traveler loyalty comes from goodwill demonstrated by the airline in times of personal emergencies and that travelers do not want their travel schedule to be controlled by the airline.

Checked in via counter and all ok, plane left late but only a short flight so didn’t mind too much. Arrived and opened cases to get something out discovering each of our cases had been opened and items stolen including jewellery, perfume, glasses and other items. Logged a complaint and got told tough luck no valuables in cases, however you can’t take perfume onboard as it’s a liquid and the cases were in their care They closed the case and sent an auto reply asking me to rate them. Airline wise the seats are tiny with no legroom. Plane was packed with many people having 2 plus hand luggage so hard to fit anything in.

I travelled from the Gold Coast, Australia to Bangkok via Kuala Lumpur. I will never travel with Air Asia again. Airline staff and ground staff are super-helpful, the flight was comfortable and on time. However, the booking process online was so frustrating. They don't have a website anymore, only an app that is terrible. They give the option of bidding to upgrade to the Quiet Zone (which was good) but I just ended up paying extra to upgrade and for seat selection. Once I did that I was emailed the receipt and the details. The clincher came when I arrived at the airport and had been assigned a different seat and basically my upgrade was ignored. I ended up speaking with a supervisor at Gold Coast who was super helpful and fixed the problem. On my way back however, I noticed once again that the seat I had paid for (8D) was once again changed (row 21). I went to Air Asia customer service at DMK and they let me know they couldn't help me. Then as we went through the last check before boarding the flight, we were told that Air Asia had downsized the plane and I was now assigned a seat in row 35. As I was waiting with the dozens of other customers in the same position, I noticed I had received an email with this "important" information and if I wanted a refund I could click on the link. That link took me to a Chat Bot and no option for a partial refund. Absolutely useless. There were dozens of frustrated customers who were in the same position with the ground staff trying to fix this total mess. Fortunately I got a seat which was OK but I was lucky. So many people had paid money and didn't get wahat they paid for. Although there was a lot of good things with this trip with Air Asia, due to their terrible booking system, unpredictable and disorganized online system, I wouldn't risk it again
