“Stag Movie” was a low-budget musical that ran off-Broadway in New York City in 1971. Adrienne Barbeau appeared nude in it, launching her acting career.
“Stag Movie” was part of a trend of off-Broadway nude musicals in the early 1970s. The movie starred Barbeau as Cookie Kovac, a naive young actress cast in an X-rated movie. She performed in 13 musical numbers, most of them in the nude. The musical ran from January to March 1971 at The Village Gate. Bernard Barrow directed ﾓStag Movie,ﾔ and Doug Rogers wrote the showﾒs musical numbers. Barbeau later starred in numerous Broadway and television shows and movies.
