Headlines of the Washington Post reads;
President Trump wins in historical landslide victory.*
Joe Biden’s response;
How did it ever come to this?
Dream big.
Just looking at the orcs with their short bows and pikes, you could see they couldn’t handle cavalry. Those are close-in weapons. The English at Agincourt had long bows and Cromwell’s infantrymen had long pikes and were drilled to hold together.
BTW I recall from the book that the orcs were blindsided in the first charge and had no chance to form ranks.
Of all the amazing scenes in Jackson’s LOTR, to me, the Charge of the Rohirrim was the most exciting, topped off by Eowyn’s dispatching of the Nazgul King. And Hill’s Theoden was masterful throughout. RIP.
I know what I’m watching tonight. 😁

I go now to the hall of my fathers, in whose mighty company I shall not now be ashamed.
The portrayal of Theoden King in the film was one of the handful of examples of where the movie did it exceptionally well unlike the appropriation of all the strong male leads best and wisest words to female (beyond the Girl Boss Arwen). Mr. Hill will always be Theoden King in my mind. Well done. Rest in Peace.
