General Hospital’s Kate Mansi Reveals Her ‘Show Crush’ On a Co-Star Who’s a ‘Bona-Fide Old-School Babe’
We all have our secret — and not-so secret — crushes and General Hospital’s Kate Mansi (Kristina) is no different. In fact, she recently shared hers with Soap Opera Digest and revealed that it’s one of her Port Charles co-stars. Not only did she hit it off with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) right off the bat when she joined the ABC soap in May of 2023, she admitted just how much she admires him.

“Oh, my God, do we love him or what?” she stated then went on to admit, “First of all, everyone in my life — including my boyfriend — knows that I have a show crush on Dominic Zamprogna. He’s the greatest!”
And he’s so great that she tells him that every day.
“He’s got this, for me, very familiar, Italian energy that I just find so great and he’s so super-talented,” she expressed then went on to share how they joke all the time at the studio… She’ll say, “Damn, too bad you’re my brother!” then look at him with Kelly Monaco (Sam), his onscreen love, and continue, “But…” then Zamprogna will interrupt, “Kate, no!” and remind her that their characters are related. “So, we totally tease each other all the time,” Mansi shared.
The actress went on to talk about how chemistry is a funny thing and how Zamprogna is a talented and attractive man, then revealed, “But the first time I met him, it was like, ‘Boom!’ — as soon as we started talking, I felt like I’d known him for a long time. Dom’s a babe, like a bona fide, old-school babe. He’s like a ‘90s hunk that belongs in Tiger Beat magazine that I would have had on my wall.”

In all seriousness, though it’s a “long-running joke on set” that Mansi has a crush on Zamprogna, she stated, “We really do have such a great relationship and rapport together and that’s why I love him so much. He feels like family.”
So, where does Monaco fit into all of this? Mansi assured that she and her onscreen sister are very close and both love to joke around with Zamprogna. “It’s like all three of us have show crushes on each other! Mansi laughed. “We just have this great, crushy energy that’s buzzy and fun, the three of us.”
