Shopping on Redstone Arsenal is within walking distance of the housing area. It features the main Exchange and the Commissary, plus several small shops, all together in a covered mall area, under one roof. The Military Clothing Sales Store is located inside the Exchange. In the general vicinity is a convenience store (Shoppette/Class VI/Gas), branch bank, credit union and an automotive retail/service center. In the past year, the Exchange has undergone a $5.4 million renovation that included a new exterior front entrance and interior dining area; new interior flooring, lighting, signage and wall features; and new bathrooms.
