Hotel Alice at Atlantic Beach in North Carolina is situated across the street from the beach access to the Atlantic Ocean and adjacent to the Country Club of the Crystal Coast. The central location of the property makes this hotel the perfect place for work, play or both. The area is affectionately known as the "Crystal Coast" due to its miles of sparkling, crystalline waters and white sandy beaches. We're one of the few south facing beaches along the east coast, which sets the stage to spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. Everything you can possibly want out of a seaside vacation is here. The waters are full of fish, dolphins and other sea critters just waiting to be caught and explored. Pine Knoll Shores Hotel are also convenient to several historic towns and cities, museums and outdoor activities. While you're here you can also tour the fully restored Civil War Fort Macon, the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Historic Beaufort and New Bern, NC. Hotel Alice is four- stories and boast 109 well-appointed over-sized rooms. Tucked behind native Live Oaks, the property and guests can't be easily seen by passerby's. Each room features either one king or two double beds. Included in all rooms is a sleeper sofa, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, wet bar and work desk. Also, for our guest convenience, we have an outdoor pool, fully-equipped on-site exercise room, business center and Suite Shop for those late-night snack attacks. So come and enjoy Hotel Alice and see and experience all we have to offer.

I think poor reviews of this property were made before renovations and upgrades.
I found that it was clean, comfortable, friendly, and convenient to the beach. It is located in a quiet zone on Salter Path Road and is immediately across the street (there is a protected crossing for pedestrians) from the beach access ramp.
My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, linens were of good quality, toiletries were nice. The room had a kitchenette with coffee maker even though there is coffee service in the lobby (maybe you don’t want to dress and leave the room in the morning), microwave oven, small ‘fridge. Pastries were available in the morning with hot beverage service. The coffee was quite good.
There is a generously sized swimming pool (5’ max. depth) that was an appreciated place to cool off after the heat of the beach. Towels are available.
Particular kudos go to the friendliness of the staff; the receptionist and the cleaning lady were welcoming and helpful.
There is adequate parking available and a few spaces are shaded.
Note: There are no dishes nor cutlery provided in the kitchenette in the room; you may wish to pick up some disposable tableware if you plan an extended stay.

Our recent July 1-4 visit was amazing. This hotel was outstanding for location, space and price! Beds were very comfortable and the room included a huge space with a sectional couch, nice size fridge and microwave. The breakfast bags due to COVID restrictions were satisfactory. They included a bottle of water, coffee cake, wrapped fruit and nutrigrain bar. We grabbed them for snacks and drove down to Bojangles for the best breakfast sandwich in the world. This hotel elevator was slow. If you are on floors 2-4, request a room close to the stairs to save some time especially when trying to come down! Will stay here again!

Stayed 4 nights (Tuesday through Friday) week of June 9. Limited services (closed pool, workout room, and lobby area) due to virus restrictions imposed by State. Bagged breakfast (Apple and protein bar). Stayed on 4th floor. Nice ocean view which is a short walk across ocean drive. My room was clean and well appointed. Very nice and helpful staff. Hotel is a little tired. Be sure and take beach chairs and towels

Good location. Approximately 300 yards to the beach, an easy walk. Staff was ok but not as personable as typical Hampton staff particularly the breakfast attendant. Room attendant did not replace items we used on first day. Went to front desk to obtain what we needed. Since we are Hilton Honors I requeted a 2:00 PM checkout on Sunday as it was offered when reservation was made. Front desk person on Sunday said there were too many rooms to be cleaned and reluctantly gave us a one hour extension. Room was ok but needs a refresh.

The rooms included a sofa bed and kitchenette. This was nice bc there were not many restaurants with outside seating and only a few had indoor seating in this covid environment, just take out.

The cross walk to the beach was great, most cars stopped right away when we pressed the button.

The pool area was unkempt with the same wet towels and hair ties laying around for days and one of the lamps was broken and covered with a plastic bag. Only 5 ppl were permitted in the pool, but this was not policed. The lights were all turned off in the lobby, so it felt like the hotel was closed.

We are low key and made the best of it, but the worst part was when we found two roaches in our room next to our night stand before bed!

We checked in 10/10/22-10/12
After spending the day on the beach we came back to the hotel for a shower before dinner.
There was no hot water! I called the front desk staff and they said they haven’t had hot water and had been trying for days to get the gas company to come and fix it.
(So when we checked in they knew) they blamed the gas workers for making a different excuse each time they called but they didn’t have a back up plan.
The front desk staff was not trained in customer service so they never said they were sorry for the inconvenience.
They were rude and never let me speak to anyone with the authority to solve the problem.
The manager was not on site.
They told me to get a refund from Expedia. (Fat chance)
Would you pay well over $100.00 a night and not have hot water!

We used to love this location when it was a Hampton Inn. Decided to try it out for a weekend stay so we could be close to the beach. The room we stayed in (312) smelled like fish and you could see water damage to the floor near the fridge and in the ceiling. The beds were comfortable which was the best part. They allow dogs here and someone must have stepped in some doggie poop and it was smeared down the 1st floor hallway carpet where you can come in from the parking lot. People also washed their dogs off at the pool shower even though signs say no dogs in pool area. (2 large dogs almost got into a confrontation in this area) The hotel itself is not being cleaned as it was in the past and we will not be staying here again.

Dear Guest, We are disappointed that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We are glad that you loved our accommodations and our comfortable rooms. We wish you would have talked to our front desk regarding the odor in your room during your stay. We would have had housekeeping or maintenance investigate and clear it. We aim to provide all of our guests with a clean and comfortable stay and are sad that we cannot serve you at our usual high standard. We apologize for not providing you with a better experience.  Please do give us another opportunity to make things right and give us a chance to host you again with superior hospitality. This is an excellent hotel. The room layout is efficient and effective. Beds are excellent, very comfortable. The entire hotel is extremely clean and they have gone the extra mile by having each cup in a sealed plastic pouch.

the front desk staff was excellent at every encounter. No beach view or on site access, but the other positives outweigh this.

A comfy, place to spend a few days while visiting Atlantic Beach and surrounding towns. The walk across the street to the beautiful beach is effortless. The on-site gym and laundry facilities were great resources. We enjoyed having simple breakfast choices, the 24 hour coffee service and the daily fresh popcorn served from 2 to 8 pm was a fun touch.
One highlight was the wonderful front desk worker Theresa. She always had a smile, greeted us each time we saw her and inquired about our day. She brightened up the lobby and should be recognized for her genuine and amazing customer service skills.

It could be our 5th honeymoon, after 36 years of marriage who’s counting. This Hampton Inn is just a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed every day. Yes, the hotel is older and could probably use some renovations but overall it is a nice place to stay. Staff was nice and helpful. My husband and I would go again.
