Istanbulspor return for Zdravkov

Bulgarian goalkeeper Zdravko Zdravkov has rejoined Istanbulspor AS from PFC Cherno More Varna.

Bulgarian international goalkeeper Zdravko Zdravkov has rejoined Istanbulspor AS from PFC Cherno More Varna.

Experienced professional
Istanbulspor general manager Sinan Dinler announced today that the experienced goalkeeper has returned to his old club on a two-and-a-half year contract having already played for the Turkish outfit for almost four years.

International pedigree
Zdravkov played for the club between 1996 and 2001 but took a season out in 1999 to play for their Super Lig rivals Adanaspor AS. The goalkeeper has also made 34 appearances for Bulgaria.

Disappointing displays
Istanbulspor moved to sign Zdravkov after being disappointed with the performance of their goalkeepers in the first half of the season. As they moved into the winter break, the club were in 14th place in the table, just two places above the relegation zone.
