Respected medical lecturer Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Gene Wilder) learns that he has inherited his infamous grandfather's estate in Transylvania. Arriving at the castle, Dr. Frankenstein soon begins to recreate his grandfather's experiments with the help of servants Igor (Marty Feldman), Inga (Teri Garr) and the fearsome Frau Blücher (Cloris Leachman). Mel Brooks considered this his finest work and specifically third funniest parody he's ever done. Agreeable on the finest craftsmanship as he aesthetically devoted to the subject with unexpected faithfulness whilst incorporating jokes for genius laughs per his signature, charged by the cast's comedically energized brilliance. The directorial ranking on the framed hilarity is debatable, but its classic status sure is justified. (B+)
