This is my third attempt at rerooting, and I'm very pleased with the results. Instead of using a rerooting tool and fabric glue, I used a regular sewing needle and tied the hair plugs into two knots to secure th in her head.
The first two tries with rerooting were kind of chaotic because either the fabric glue didn't dry or when it did dry, I made the mistake of assuming I can place the doll head in hot water to curl it, and it heated the glue, seeped out of her head and completely saturated the doll's hair and ruining the entire head🤣 It completely discouraged me from rerooting again until I found another method, and I'm glad it worked out. I don't care for Yara as Tinkerbell or the Peter & Wendy movie as a whole, but this Yara Shahidi doll was too beautiful not to customize.
P.S. Yes, I know she kind of looks like Kylie Jenner🤣

how did you use a sewing needle for this? did you go from one airplug to the next one, and then tied the knots over her scalp? how did you do the part? does the work feel more robust?
I've only done the glue method and I too am worried over it dissolving in water or in steam when styling, and the longevity of it all
I attached a long detailed comment with that picture, but I don't think it was posted lol. If not, I used a regular needle and thread the hair plug through like you would do with regular thread. I rooted each individual plug from the outside to the inside and tied one end of the hair plug into a knot so it can't be pulled back out.
It's very sturdy, especially if you double knot it. It's a bit more time consuming than using a regular rerooting tool, but I don't mind if that means I don't ever have to use glue again lol. Hope this helps.

Absolutely gorgeous! I have this doll also,bc i thought they did a lovely job with the face. Havent seen the movie & have no intention to.
The other two-doll set (wendy & peter) was on sale recently on Amazon for $12, down from 40 or 50, and i picked it up to use as different/younger faces in my miniverse. Didnt love them enough to grab them if they werent on that sale tho!
