The 10 Best Xscape Songs of All-Time

Xscape

In 2017 during an interview with V-103, Xscape announced that they were working on an album and a tour, and we couldn’t wait to see what they had in store for us. With three platinum albums and ten number one songs on the Billboard charts, Xscape are one of the most prominent R&B girl groups of the ’90s. The group’s most significant breakthrough came in 1993 after releasing their debut album, Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha, which was certified platinum and sold over 7 million records worldwide. In 1997, two famous African American movies: Soul Food and Love Jones, featured Xscape’s songs as their soundtrack. The group’s next album, Off the Hook, was certified platinum with the tracks “Feels So Good” and “Who Can I Run To,” being certified gold in the United States. The band’s third album, Traces of My Lipstick, dropped in 1998 and was their final album. Xscape dissolved in 1998 for each member to pursue solo projects. The band’s Great Xscape Tour reformed the band in 2017. In 2018, the group announced that one of its members, Kandi Burruss, had taken a break due to being on Broadway and wouldn’t be featured in its upcoming projects. Xscape had to rebrand to XSCAP3, which featured Tamika and Latocha Scott and Tameka “Tiny” Harris. XSCAP3 has released three singles; two of those singles brought about the release of their first EP as a trio. Please check out our ranking of the top ten Xscape songs of all time.
