Florence Pugh on Wednesday gave Marvel fans a glimpse behind-the-scenes into the filming of the highly anticipated upcoming superhero film, Thunderbolts.

The 28-year-old actress is stepping back into the role of Russian Black Widow Yelena Belova for the flick, which will see a slew of reformed villains across the Marvel Cinematic Universe — including Bucky Barnes (played by Sebastian Stan), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) and Yelena's former adoptive father Red Guardian (David Harbour) — team up under the direction of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

News of the movie was first announced during San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022, but production is currently underway in Atlanta, Georgia. And in a video shot by Pugh and posted to her Instagram page, the action star teased what's to come as she toured the sound stage.

“Be quiet now,” she whispered to film director Jake Schreier, who laughed as he turned to the camera and waved. "Oh fancy seeing you there,” Schreier, 42, said.

Pugh then asked the director what they were allowed to reveal, to which Schreier replied, "I don't think you're allowed to even be doing this."

“I know, someone’s going to come and rugby tackle me,” Pugh said before moving backward to unveil ‘Thunderbolts’  on a director’s chair.

That didn't stop Pugh. She panned the camera to show a screen that featured her holding onto a gun prop.

“That’s enough, that’s it, that's it,” the Oppenheimer actress said before closing out the video by stating she couldn't wait for people to see the movie.

Pugh began the video by explaining why she had been missing in action recently, after the premiere of Dune: Part Two earlier this month.

“Hey guys,” Pugh said as she closed her trailer door. “How you doing? I know that I’ve kinda dropped off for a little bit but that’s partly because I whisked whisked off to Atlanta to go and shoot a movie that I’m not really allowed to talk much about.”

“But I can show you some things sneakily,” she continued as she took a stroll. “As long as you don’t tell anyone.”

Moving the camera to reveal her bodysuit costume, she added, “I can show you this."

“I can show you our fantastic AD team,” Pugh added as she pointed to the a group of staff speaking to each other. “I can show you her, we met on Black Widow, this is Chelsea.”

Entering a building, the star began to whisper, “I can show you a sneak peek of some of the set.”

“We’re in the studio right now,” she said. “We’re in the studio that we’re shooting in on this movie that I can’t tell you much about but look at that,” Pugh continued as she moved her camera to reveal a large column prop.

A bell then rang prompting the actress to explain that the sound meant that shooting had started before walking over to Schreier.

Marvel first teased the formation of the Thunderbolts in Disney+'s 2021 series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with the introduction of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine as she began recruiting members for the group.

Yelena was one of several new Widows introduced in the Black Widow solo film in 2021. Pugh reprized the role that same year in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

Thunderbolts is set to be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.
