By "western" standards a 3 star hotel, but it is clean, quiet and quite pleasant. It is nicely situated and close to the visitor center for Wudang Mountain. The rooms are OK, with breakfast included.
If you don't speak Chinese - it is a bit of a struggle.

I stayed here with a travelling companion during the October Holiday in China. Its a pleasant hotel but its quite clear it was built for a boom that never came. Even on the busiest peak season it was effectively empty. It has numerous long and stretching corridors, which are eerily quiet and deserted. The closest analogy I can think of is Pripyat near Chernobyl. The gym was locked up and dusty, along with a snooker room. Out the back, the pools were drained and a mysterious, albeit pretty neat, climbing wall was there but clearly in need of repair. Overall, the hotel looks great but when you scratch the surface, it needs serious work e.g. Torn carpets, buckled door jams from construction work etc.
Staff are extremely pleasant but for an 'international hotel' there is not a single other language spoken than Chinese. Thats not a huge issue for me, I'm happy to try but there could be an attempt to even have a pamphlet / menu in the other languages that may pass through. My biggest memory of being here was being hungry. I'll eat anything, but it was near impossible to get decent food and know what I was eating. Every night was hot pot, which is fine, but they advertised other menus that weren't actually available. You also had to pay, up front, before you even sat down. Just strange. If you or anyone you are travelling with is a fussy eater, I'd suggest stocking up on some snacks before you take a trip out in this direction. There are three restaurants in the hotel, we only visited two. One is the main restaurant for the evening and the other is a lunch time spot. Both are Chinese cuisine only.
The actual town is about a 15 mins walk from the hotel. Quite pleasant and its an easy stroll up to the Wudang Park (About ~40 mins) There isn't much in the town apart from some family run restaurants and general utility stores, and again, no foreign languages spoken. Depending on how adventurous you are to eat, you'll likely find something but you won't have a clue what it is unless you are fluent in the local language.
I understand if you take a taxi there are some malls around but we never ventured out. My standing advice would be to enlist the help of a translator before you head out and know where you want to go and what you want to see before you venture out, otherwise you may find it tricky to get around.

Really enjoyed staying here, thought the room was quite comfortable and looked great. It's the kind of 'look great' that won't last more than 10 years and will need refurbishing, but for the short-term, it looks absolutely fab. Rooms are large and security is good. Bathrooms are large as well. The one thing I thought was just plain wierd was the frosted glass between the shower and the sleeping area. So you can never get a truly private shower unless you are in the room on your own. But that is a small thing in an otherwise really good experience.
Staff are friendly though don't have much English, so communication (not in Chinese) is difficult. But that is to be expected.
If you want a room with a good view, ask ahead of time and be expecting to pay more for it. Some rooms have little to no view.
Location is good, with the mountain bus service drop off just a 5 minute walk away.
There are lots of little shops just opposite the hotel where you can get water, clothing, souveneirs, etc. Again, don't expect any English apart from numbers!

Stayed here for 2 nights. There were a total of 28 of us in this tour group. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel during our 2 days stay here. The dishes served on the first night were a little too salty and oily. Hence we have them feedback on this. On our second night’s dinner, we were surprised they took our feedback and the dishes were less oily and salty. But I must admit, it is much handier if you know how to converse in Mandarin.
On the rooms, they were clean and comfortable. Totally exceeded my expectations. The hotel staff told us that they had renovated the rooms 2 Years ago.
According to our tour guide, this hotel is often used by government officials. Though not the best in Wudangshan area, it is still a decent one.

This hotel is about a 10 min taxi ride or a 40 min walk from the entrance to the WudangshanPark.
You can reach the gate by taxi or walking from the hotel. A taxi will be less than 10 mins whilst walking will take you 30 to 40 mins depending on your pace.
