We recently stayed for two nights in this beautiful hotel. It was spotlessly clean, quiet and the service was excellent. It serves both great Chinese food and great Western food including freshly ground coffee.

We had a wonderful foot, shoulder and back massage and the best pedicure I have ever had.

It is very convenient for visiting the Wudang Mountain and the Wudang Taoist Traditional Kung Fu Academy.

The Jianguo Wudang Mountain is a 5 star hotel experience at motel level prices. 512 RMB per night for a king sized bed double occupancy is about $90, it includes complimentary all you can eat western and Chinese style buffet, fresh fruit on the first night, complimentary hotel slippers, bottled water and in room tea. The dinner is both western and Chinese and features local caught fresh fish and freshly picked local vegetables, you can feast for about $15 per person.
There is a visitor center close by with souveniers, groceries, and Chinese style massage( which you might need after hiking on Wudang Mountain) for about $15 dollars per hour.
The hotel is in walking distance to the tourist center where you need to buy your tickets to enter the Wudang Mountain park. The entrance fee is 210RMB ( about $30) If you buy the yearly pass for an extra fee of $10 RMB, you can enter the following days for only $35 RMB.
This is a very special place, if you can imagine a cross between the beauty of Yosemite and the spiritual serenity of Mount Athos in Greece or St. Michel in France, this is the place.
The natural beauty is exquisite and the temples sublime. There were high level Martial Arts demos.
Unless you are in excellent physical condition and looking for a hiking challenge, I would suggest the bus to the cable car to get to the summit. But don't pass up the palaces at the foot of the mountain or pass by the Xiao Yao Gu. Each place has its unique nature and symbolic importance.
I would say three days is a minimum stay here. If you have any interest in Tai Chi and Martial Arts, Taoism or Chinese culture and history, Wudang Mountain is a must see for visitors.

We got there by regularly scheduled bus transportation from Xi'An( home of the Terra Cota Warriors) in about 4 hours, but you can also get there from Shanghai by flying into Xiangyang( about a 1.30 hour flight) and hiring a van for about 500RMB ( less than $100) for a 1.30 hour ride. The scenery during your journey will also be pleasant.
The only (minor) issue is that the staff have minimal English skills. This is the only reason I gave service 4 stars instead of 5. They were kind pleasant and accommodating otherwise, I felt that they met any reasonable request but sometimes it was a little difficult to get across what the request was.

Otherwise, the experience was perfect and I highly recommend Wudang Mountain and the Jiang Huo hotel in particular.

This is a wonderful luxury hotel located at the foot of the Wudangshan Mountain. The shopping street is very close by with a number of places to eat and shop. I was upgraded to a suite which was simply huge and looked brand new. I’ll stay here again when I return to Wudangshan.

Lovely hotel. Fabulous restaurant. Right outside the gate for the Wudang Mountain Park. Fabulous place to stay if you need to arrive late (after the gate closes at 5:30PM) or leave very early in the morning (before the gate opens).

I’ve stayed in this five star hotel in 2016 and more recently in December of 2018, and I find this hotel adds to the great Wudangshan experience. The suites are very well fit out with all of the amenities expected.
Do stay in this wonderful hotel!

A local 5 star hotel catering for local tourists. Given the location, do not expect any English speaking staff. Use Google translate. The WiFi works. The fittings are of good standard used in most similar properties all over China. Unfortunately, many Chinese smoke and few bother to stick to the rules. If you end up with a room that smell of smoke, ask for a change.

The breakfast is a mixture of East and West to cater for the local crowd which are the main target customers of the hotel. Recommend to avoid being other weekends. The Wudangshan town starts outside the hotel main gate. The local restaurants are reasonable where we spent less than RMB100 per head for dinner. There is no need to hail a taxi. No Western fast food available here.

I will recommend this property to my friends who plans to visit Wudangshan. There is a hotel airport shuttle that runs 2 ways from the local airport to the hotel for RMB`15 per person one way. For those who come by train from Wuhan, the fast trains stops at Shiyan. The slower local train stops at Wudangshan Station, 15km away in Liulipingzhen; i.e. Wudangshan Railway Station is not at Wudangshan town. Shiyan is about 40km away from this hotel.

For the foreign tourists who prefer to be served in English can choose to stay in Shiyan at Double Tree by Hilton, which is actually cheaper. The journey from Hilton to Wudangshan may be completed in less than 30 min in light traffic via the new expressway, G70.

Great location to wudang mountain. Staffs didn't speak English. SHOULD NOT be a 5 star hotel although the price was cheap. Breakfast buffet gave me "the runs" for the whole day. There was no such thing as a non smoking room. Decor was of a cheap motel. Make sure to have everything in writing.

Our trip was after the Lunar New Year. There was little crowd. The hotel was kind of quiet too. The reception was awesome. Fast and efficient and helpful too. We sought their help for bus tickets and they tried their best even though we did not get what we wanted.
Tips: Book via CTrips to enjoy best price and we were glad we got the best price as we overheard one conversation that mentioned price the person had to pay for similar room. This hotel accepts foreign credit cards too. Note: nowadays more and more hotels in China are not accepting foreign credit cards. We already had a few encounters with this.
The breakfast was good too. Wudangshan town is just 10 to 15 minutes away by foot. Take a taxi and you only pay RMB10 for a single trip. Not many taxis there. We were told only 20 taxis. It is a small town. No McDonalds, KFC, Burger King etc. The hotel has tennis courts and basketball courts.

Room was perfect. Five star quality with robe, slippers and anything else you could want. Super comfortable bed. Feels like we can very off season though. What appeared to be a pool around the hotel was drained and muddy. Staff was friendly and the location is perfect. Buffet breakfast was the highlight.

Have stayed here twice i the last 2 years, but usually come to visit the cafe and restaurant. Beautiful clean hotel located at the gate of wudang mountain, wonderful lobby. There is a luxury hotel up the mountain near purple heaven palace but is twice the price. Rooms are nice here and they have a massage centre. Great coffee and i think is pretty much the only place in wudang that has real ground coffee. Restaurant has great steak and western style food.
