Suspect in police custody, accused of killing woman in north Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A man faces multiple charges in connection with the death of a woman in north Columbus on Friday night.

Authorities were called to the 6000 block of Zumstein Drive just before 10:30 p.m. on Friday on a report of a person found dead there.

A woman, whom police have identified as 61-year-old Li-Chu Lin was found suffering from apparent trauma from an attack.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Saturday, Columbus police were able to identify and locate a man considered to be a person of interest in the case.

Later on Saturday afternoon, police said that they had charged a suspect, 36-year-old Arthur Scott Jr. with kidnapping, rape, and murder in the case.

Scott is being held in the Franklin County Jail.
