This film is a very bizarre combination of werewolf horror, coming-of-age drama and teen romance. It's flawed and uneven but also brimming with charm. Though it really struggles with pacing and balancing the tone which make it hard to fully engage with the story and the coming-of-age drama only deals in a surface level, I still found this little film strangely endearing for the most part. It has decent amount of fun enjoyable moments and there's just something about the carnival/theme park setting that is appealing and brings such a unique sense of character which really helps to hold my attention. Also, I was definitely not expecting to see a young Shawn Ashmore here, so it was kinda funny.
A movie with Tim Curry and only 400 people have logged it? That's a surprise.
Why so few? It's not because Wolfgirl* is a bad movie. It's not a churn-out DTV work or by-the-numbers horror flick. The production is limited-scale, but there's some real creativity in it. Maybe too much: Wolfgirl has no genre box to slip into. It reminds me of The Raggedy Rawney, another good movie with a star (Bob Hoskins) but no genre to call its own. The title Wolfgirl suggests horror, but it doesn't really fit there. It's part horror; it's also a musical, a romance, a fable and a coming-of-age story.

I wanna meet the genius behind this poster because graphic design is clearly their passion and i’m fascinated by it. The poster was the sole reason why we picked this movie for tonight. It’s surprisingly deep? The real beast was the beauty standards all along or something. Idk, we kept drifting in and out of sleep multiple times so i don’t know how to rate. It just wasn’t good.
This was a very forgettable movie. The only thing you will remember from this movie is Iceman has a small wang.
Tim Curry is a watch in himself, and this is a decent film to enjoy him in.
The arse kids are pretty hateful and it gives me great joy to see their hangups (particularly the teenie weenie bee sting - JOY)
Wolf Girl is a beautiful story, with some entertaining acts along the way.

This turned out to be much better than I was expecting! I love Tim Curry, he's one of my favorite actors, but honestly, most of the movies he's in are terrible. He's great in these terrible movies, but they themselves are awful nonetheless. Wolf Girl (Or Blood Moon) is a solid way to spend 1.5 hours catching a Tim Curry film. Also, he sings in it, so that's always a plus!

a lot of the musical numbers were a slay. i also somehow completely missed that grace jones would be in this in my rush to watch what would surely be a mediocre tim curry movie and WOW, she gave her everything in this. like she 10000% was the brightest light here and i am so thankful for it.

Nearly indescribably odd. (I only say "nearly" as a concession to logic because I am absolutely going to try and describe it.) As cruel, grim and gruesome as an EC comic at moments, and as tender and weirdly wholesome as an ABC Afterschool Special at other moments. But what's in between doesn't do much to help us journey from any one of these moments to another. The director, performance artist / playwright / filmmaker Thom Fitzgerald, is one of those artists who never repeats himself, clearly feels in no way beholden to the genre, and follows no known formula for making a horror movie.
