Condolences to the Green family on the passing of Willie. I was blessed to have played with him in the 80's. He was one of the most beautiful singers I have ever heard. RIP
I'm so sorry to hear this news. Hearing Willie's name brought back so many great memories of music in Galway twenty years ago, when he and Bernie played with Save "Sammy" Rohan, who sadly died in 2018. There will be a great gig in heaven. Much love to you Bernie xxx
From 1983 to 1997, we had the pleasure for 14 years of meeting and greeting the greatest characters and musicians Ireland could provide. Willie Green was up there with the best. The fun, the laughter and the songs will outlive us all. Our memories of Willie will never be forgotten. God-Bless.

I've only just heard - Liam Murphy posted your beautiful and poignant tribute. I'm shocked and saddened. My abiding memory is of Willie and me singing 'Galway Bay' somewhere up the country. Willie did harmony and guitar. My sincerest condolences.
