Ever since in 9th grade I expected the rumors to be true about the school that is not good enough and I won't have any education but 4 years later it was the best experience I ever had. This school has the best teachers who can connect and are very prepared for us to get ready for education and they do have many interesting things to teach. The school did their hardest for us to plan out stuff for our future like the staff.
I didn't have good grades in my elementary school but now since the beginning of my school year, I have become a full A's student. I have learned a lot. There were some tough challenges but it was a great experience. The other best part is that I met many new people who are now my best friends.
Overall I wouldn't know where my life would be if I wasn't elected to this high school, and I am grateful to be part of the Bearcat family, to meet new people, and see amazing opportunities for my life after graduating. I would miss the good years but now it must move on.

Coming into a city school, my mother was never certain about sending me to a school stereotyped with being "ghetto" , "poor", and "stupid." However, our school also represents a division of students who go to class and never miss a day of learning, as well as being in Honors, AP, and College Prep classes, where the other half of the population represent what our high school is stereotyped as; skipping classes and falling behind in grade levels. I represent the first half; the half that achieves high honors in my honors, AP, and college prep classes as the highest ranked in my class throughout all 4 years of high school. In a city school, I was able to experience diversity amongst all classmates and staff. This helped me be able to work with a group of well-rounded peers from different backgrounds. My experience at William Penn Senior High School showed me the right group of staff will set me in the right path to persevere through the stereotypes my school is connected with.
I have attended William Penn for all 4 years of my high school career. Very proud to be a Bearcat!!! Diversity in all forms is part of WPSH. I am enrolled in the STEAM academy which has helped shaped my future endeavors. The teachers and staff support all students in every aspect possible. Being a Bearcat is being part of a huge family. Friday night football is an experience everyone should have, the excitement and enthusiasm that exudes from the bleachers is like no other.
