will never be able to wrap my head around the fact that matt damon and ben affleck wrote this screenplay they literally look like they have one brain cell between the two of them

Good movie.
However, the film was plagued by many janitorial inaccuracies.
For starters, the first depiction of our “hero” in action is when he, named Will in the movie and Matt Damon in the flesh world, is attempting the easiest of janitorial duties, and that would, of course, be mopping. Despite this being the crudest and simplest form of custodial work, he makes an absolute mockery of it by splashing water on the shoes of students standing nearby. This blatant disrespect for others is something that often clings to the stereotype associated with sanitation experts, despite being something that we in the field work very hard to address. It is a shame to see this gross, and frankly inaccurate, characterization of custodians…

The scene where Robin Williams’ Sean Maguire sits on a park bench with Matt Damon’s Will Hunting to have their little shrink session about life, love, and identity is perhaps my favorite cinematic moment ever. More than a conversation, it is a monologue that Robin Williams delivers with incredible passion and it gives me goosebumps every time I watch this scene.
