M B I thought this movie was funny and I never like anything! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review Mark D Absolutely atrocious! Just about everything about this movie is horrible. The writing feels like it was written by a 10-year old. The acting is half-hearted. I had no idea that Jessica Lange couldn't act at all. In fact, I was wondering if she was drunk while making this movie. I couldn't wait for it to end. And here I thought Ms. Mclaine was choosy about the films she made. Ha! I guess she'll do anything for the money these days. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Jeongbu 3 This movie was like a cheap wanna be remake of thelma and louise. no wonder it only made 21k at the box office, this movie sucks. the acting isn't great which is surprising from jessica lang, the plot pacing is bad and the writing of the movie is awful and dragged for an hour and a half too long. i'm so disappointed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/22/23 Full Review Peter D This is an overlooked gem of a movie. It is a very funny and very touching story about the friendship between two older women - a widow and her friend who has (spoiler alert) a bad illness. They have a grand adventure and (spoiler alert) it is not a down story but an up one. Jessica Lang and Shirley McClain are great. They are dignified and funny and brilliant and pretty and they embrace older age don't try to play it down. It is a wish fulfilling fantasy about a computer glitch leading to a financial windfall for a beleaguered widow. There is also a book about the making of the movie that Shirley wrote and that you can download on Audible, but book aside the movie is great. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Stephen C LOL for 01 hour: and 26 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review George L Although a cliche of a script, it is an easy enjoyable watch with two great stars. A lovely watch to pass the time. Roger Moore Movie Nation The laughs in this insomnia cure come in the first act Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 27, 2018 Full Review James Plath Family Home Theater The MacLaine-Lange pairing is good but not great, though I'd be hard-pressed to tell you exactly why. Maybe it's because you don't feel any depth to their friendship, and they're supposed to be best friends. Rated: C+ Jan 16, 2018 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate These veteran actresses deserve better material than this predictable, cliche-riddled script. Rated: 4/10 Oct 15, 2016 Full Review Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media Senior-citizen adventure-comedy is unlikely to engage teens. Rated: 2/5 Sep 20, 2016 Full Review John Lui The Straits Times (Singapore) A well-intentioned comedy starring good, extremely likeable veteran actors, all of whom deserve a much sharper screenplay.
