Good for academics and curriculum was great. Professor was good and more friendly .they have great experience in the industry and good experience
IIT, located in Chicago, is a technology-focused research university. It offers diverse programs in engineering, and science that allow you to expand on your curriculum. While it has a solid academic reputation, it is a small and quiet school that focuses more on your field of study and social events.
My experience that (IIT) has been very exciting. I double as an architecture student but also as an athlete. As an architect major, the College of Architecture program is very detail oriented and studio driven; I cannot say a single bad thing about being in the program. I have learned so much in the program, I’ve learned conceptual, schematic design, site analysis, structural elements and landscaping design. I have learned a lot about architecture and how to rethink the ideas behind buildings I am a student athlete. I have also enjoyed doing the Lacrosse program at IIT, the coaches are so passionate and always motivate us to do better on the field. IIT is so fortunate to be located in the city of Chicago, there are so many things to do in the city. As I graduate this semester, IIT has left me with so much optimism for my architectural career in the future.
the number of students attend are small comparing to other universities, but what makes Illinois Institute of Technology special is that they are creative and hard working. they have dreams and goals that they want to achieve, and the school helps them do that.

What I like about Illinois Institute Of Technology is the beautiful campus, patient professors, and the great efforts that this school puts to improve their system for their students. The campus is very big and there are a lot of study rooms for students which is something that I like to take advantage of. My professors so far have been patient and caring for their students. They understand when we have an emergency and they try their best to move their schedule to our needs. Overall, my experience at Illinois Institute Of Technology has been going great and I can't wait for the upcoming years.
I am currently having an amazing time here at IIT! The faculty are all extremely welcoming as well as the students and professors. They have a lot of free resources that any of the students can asceses like the interviews room in the library, free printing paper, 3D printer filament, etc.
I like that Illinois tech has many opportunities to offer as well as connecting with people in industries. The diversity of people here is also great, as I’ve made many friends!
My experience at IIT has been great so far. I am Psychology major with a minor in ITM. I like the class sizes and how interactive the teachers are with the students. A pretty decent size campus and you're able to get around to each building pretty easily.
I like the classes the environment. Sometimes I have trouble finding who can help me. My courses are mostly online . Some of the things I would like is more events to make friends. Having online course makes it hard for me to make friends. Some of the teachers were really helpful and seemed to enjoy there time teaching
Overall very good University with beautiful people and friends. The assignments are however difficult in computer science program.
My experience of attending this college is wonderful. I really feel like I am being taught the skills and lessons I need to know in order to succeed in my career. This college makes high school seem like kindergarten because they don't baby you, you are thrown in the deep end and expected to learn how to float on your own with some guidance. IIT offers so many resources that are helpful.
The architecture program in the school is amazing. There were many different and unique projects and opportunities that we had the chance to experience. Overall, I loved this school and the people I got to know and love.
Some classes here were hard to get through because of lack of quality in the educational committee. However, this school offers lots of opportunities to pursue higher careers and it does well in advertising it, having a daily email. The social life however is lackluster and it almost feels like a commuter school even though a majority of the student population lives on campus. The clubs it offers however are plentiful and diverse.
Illinois Tech is full of opportunities and wonderful experiences ranging from research opportunities and internships through the Elevate program. The classes at Illinois Tech are relatively smaller than other schools, which is something I prefer. The professors in STEM are very experienced in their fields. Sometimes professors might not be as proficient in explaining some topics because each student understands concept differently; however, they are very welcoming and appreciate students who are curious and inquirers. I have heard the research in Computer Science at Illinois Tech is cutting edge, and I hope to bring some ideas about navigation and positioning of non-stationary objects. The dorms could be better, though. Overall, the school is great!
The school overall is nice. As long as you are willing to put in the effort, you can make many formal and non-formal connections. They have several activities ranging from bowling to gaming to private study rooms. They hold several career fairs throughout the year for career connections. The overall diversity of the school is outstanding, however, you will notice that many friend groups are focused on their own, barely mixing with others. In contrast, groups and clubs are mixed and work really well together, as far as I can tell. The major concern for this school is safety, it is in Chicago. If you are from Chicago you most likely will not be surprised by how close the danger is. But from my experience, some of the international students have a difficult time coping with the dangerous environment. To clarify, no one from the school was in immediate danger, but rather certain events around the school. Education at the school is decent, however, certain majors do have better professors.
First, I benefitted tremendously from the live in-person classes that I took at Illinois Institute of Technology. The Professors were very keen on students' success. For example, Professor Ray Trygstad was very helpful in imparting a lot of knowledge in the cybersecurity management class that I took with him. He made the course all encompassing. The course included research work, projects, presentations, assignments and exam. He was interested in us getting the required knowledge in the course with less emphasis on the tests.
Second, it is unfortunate to say that the online classes that I took were ineffectual. It felt like I waste a lot time and money. All that they were, were just prerecorded videos that were not up to date and preplanned time quizzes and assignments. I did not benefit at all from these online courses.
I think the online courses should be restructured to include a lot projects. And there should be frequent meetings between Professors and students.

It's a place where you can explore diverse interests, engage in stimulating conversations, and create lasting memories with like-minded individuals. So, while it may not be the typical "party scene," this college offers a unique and fulfilling experience.
Illinois Tech's student organizations offer a world of exciting projects and activities, fueled by generous funding. Engaging with groups like the IEEE Society, ETA Kappa Nu (Delta Chapter), and the Admissions Department has provided invaluable networking and personal growth opportunities. These experiences have equipped me to make a positive impact with ethical values. To all future students: seize the chance to explore and contribute. Illinois Tech's vibrant organizations and supportive environment empower you to unlock your potential, leaving a lasting mark on the world. Embrace this valuable journey, as it promises to shape you into a catalyst for meaningful change.
For the architecture program, there are professors who are helpful when you ask for it, but overall you need to do your own research to have your own understanding of different things. I think sometimes there are moments when professors forget that us students are just learning the profession, and aren't aware of certain things that should be general knowledge. If perhaps there could be a handbook given about basic things we should know it would probably make school easier.
