Ok work environment

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The company higher allot of family members which can lead to favoritism. The management team I had was awesome. If your good on the phone you will be over work. There need to be balance so those that are good don't get burnt out. You can advance if you apply yourself and take opportunities to work special projects. Turning manager down when ask to do a special project will hinder you.

The company’s idea is great but what messes it up is the people in it that have power over the others

What is the best part of working at the company?Helping clients and putting together a plan for them What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The people above you that have favoritism or sabotage What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Depends on the team or hierarchy you are in What is a typical day like for you at the company? For me is prospect over the phone in the day, recruit, and then evenings closing appointments

Productive good pay

Really enjoyed working here. Guess it depends on the office but always good vibes and super motivational. If you have the time for it go for it it’s a great opportunity but super time consuming

False pay promises

They tell you that you can earn $1000-$2000 a week part time, then they ask you to contact family members and friends and of course they dont want to be sold life insurance buy their loved ones and they make you pressure them into it. They ask you to text random people on facebook to see if they want to purchase, no matter how much you try, no one wants it. You make no money and they keep promising you will but you’re just not working hard enough. They make you go to so many useless meetings where they hype you up about numbers and production for 5 minutes and then put on a video for an hour. Its supposed to motivate you but its the same videos or the same thing over and over, they EVEN CHARGE YOU TO USE THEIR PRODUCER WEBSITE $25 a month. DO NOT JOIN OR WORK AT THIS COMPANY, only good thing i got out of it was getting my license and thats it.

It was alright, probably will not return

It was okay working there, friendly an helpful staff but you have to generate your own leads in order to make money and there's a lot of front end money that needs to be sent before you can start earning from the company

Fast paced and stability

The pace is fast and the workload is great but most folks probably have the same experience elsewhere. learned how to communicate with upper management. culture is one of family and stability

Not for everyone!

When you initially join Primerica is presented as a great opportunity which it can be. I appreciate the opportunity to learn about life insurance in-depth and get licensed in the field. What's not mentioned is you have to generate your own leads using family and friends. If leads were provided I believe Primerica would be a great company to work for.

Fun

Working at Primerica was okay . You get to work whenever you want to . The only thing is you must build a team to continue to get revenue . Other than that working there is fine

Discouraging, to say the least.

What is the best part of working at the company?nothing, at all. NOTHING. ZERO! ZILCH!What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Trying to make any kind of money. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Pointless Zoom Meetings. ALL day, EVERY day!!!What is a typical day like for you at the company? An entire day of unproductive Zoom Meetings about how much money the guy in charge makes. How many houses he has. He LITERALLY said that he had a $2000 meal the night before... and "s#*t out $2000" the next day! Because, "He can afford to do that"Meanwhile, over a year later, and I have less than $500 earned. They don't provide leads, and expect you to beg your friends and family to buy overpriced life insurance, so you can make a buck.

You have to be a team player

They have an unlimited earrings potential if you put the work in. This company prevents other insurance companies from scamming you. Both beneficial for the agent and the client.

Productive and fun environment

At this job you get to make your own hours, also you get to set your appointments to your schedule. I love Primerica. Workplace is always accessible and open for you and your clients. WiFi is free and some offices have computers for you to use, if needed. Overall compensation is made upon you scheduling appointments and processing your clients applications. You can also recruit eligible people to become a teammate under you.

Top notch leaders and speakers, Rewarding client connection, strong company culture, Unlimited Income growth

Flexible work hours and ability to set your own schedule around other obligations is something that stands out. This is a great way to earn additional income while working a job. A Full time day would be making calls, going out to prospect, setting appointments, meeting with clients, conducting recruiting interviews, attending trainings. A part time day would consist of some of these things. The good thing is the flexibility around family obligations. I learned how to help people with their finances and to structure a household budget incorporating income protection (life insurance), emergency savings, college and retirement savings and to understand how paying down debt is key. I learned leadership skills, team building skills, how to host meetings and how to effectively help families prepare for their financial future. The management was great, the workplace culture is friendly and supportive. The hardest thing can be finding clients at times, however there are ways to get people interested. It just takes practice and the tenacity to keep going. The industry has companies with more product offerings which can be tough, however we are trained how to work around this to create a great solution to fit our clients' needs. The most enjoyable thing for me and many of my colleagues is the training and speaker events provided. The seasoned leaders are so knowledgeable and full of wisdom. They speak to us as agents but also as individuals with hearts to help change people's lives financially. I really loved the culture, company values, crusade to help middle income families and to -

It’s an mlm scam

Pay is 100% based on how much you sale and you have to sell to friends and family that is your client base sell to your friends and family and try to get customers thru them and try to recruit them.

Pros

Insurance

Cons

No pay

Relaxed

Door to door and pulled people into appointments, so my mentors could close the sell for me. Little by little you get more experience and start closing them yourself.

Decent job not for everyone though

This is a sales job. No hourly rate, so if you are not out contracting people to get life insurance, you simply will not make money. This is for people who are most definitely comfortable going out of their way to get sales.

Pros

Work whenever you want and wherever

Cons

No sales, no money

Flexible schedule

I like having a flexible schedule. Can do it in your spare time too. I learned a lot about how insurance companies are ran, and the stories of people who succeeded in the business.

Good for experience but plan your 1-2 year exit plan

My advice if you're coming from outside the company: negotiate a higher salary than what they offer. They'll put on a front that "wearing multiple hats" is commendable just to take advantage of you with no reward. Avoid if possible but if you must, build your skillset and strategize an exit plan. Also research the actual company on Google and make an informed decision

Pros

Good benefits, no hassle PTO/Sick time, Opportunity to network with 3rd party vendors, gaining valuable skillsets for career growth

Cons

Nepotism, Oppressive/Toxic Environment, No Advancement, Dysfunctional Work Silos, Expectation to work multiple positions with no promotion or guidance

Great

Primerica is awesome! I'm currently learning a lot and am having fun doing this! I've never worked in a financial services sector, so this is a great experience for me!
