There is no other explanation, as to why perfectly rational people would be so triggered by a 'Trump', that they would throw out their rational judgement. That is a very dangerous thing for any person to do. Once a person chooses what they will believe, it's just a matter of some scenario coercing them into an ugly choice.
IMO, Progressivism is Genetic. People are predisposed to the idea that societal rule should be imposed on the at large populous from the Top down. That ruling Elites who CHOOSE their particular Ideological Paradigm, should and are morally/practically justified in doing such. For the good of the Whole.
Boiled down to it's essence...it's the God vs. No God "First Principle" thing that creates the unsolvable conflict that we are witnessing. Two totally different Universal Paradigms. With polar consequences. To each their own preference.

Like most leftists, it’s nothing but a bunch of half truths. The “insurrectionists” were paid: as FBI Agents or as ANTIFA by the MSM. Gas prices are up due to supply/demand but it’s not due to increased demand. Biden killed Keystone XL which started off the rise in fuel prices.
The worst part about the Jan. 6th dealio, was that the original plan was for it to be an actual taking of the White House, had Trump won the Election.
Antifa, BLM, and their minions were going to TAKE the White House had Orange guy won. That's why you still had Antifa and BLM people there, they made plans and already paid for the trip, so why not just see what the Trump dealio would be about and cause some trouble.
