Florida Highway Patrol said an ATV crashed on Friday night in Marion County. Around 11:18 p.m., an ATV on Southwest 56th Avenue struck the front of a utility trailer that was parked. The 41-year-old Ocala man driving the ATV and the passenger, a 40-year-old woman from Ocala, were both thrown from the ATV, according to FHP.The driver died at the scene of the crash, and the passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
