Upper School - Houston Academy

Houston Academy’s upper school offers a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum, including Advanced Placement offerings in every discipline.

HA also boasts an award-winning music, arts, and drama programs; a 1:1 MacBook program; three foreign languages (French, Latin, and Spanish) with Spanish starting in Pre-Kindergarten; 14 boys and 16 girls athletic teams, comprehensive and individualized college advising program; and extensive community service involvement. Impressively, 100% of all Houston Academy graduates are accepted to a college of their choice, with a yearly average of over $4 million in college scholarships earned.

Outstanding Faculty

Houston Academy’s upper school has 33 faculty members. Seventy-three percent of HA’s faculty hold advanced degrees and have taught for an average of twenty years. The student-teacher ratio is 10:1, and the average class size is 14.
