Olly Murs discusses the struggle of creating music in lockdown
Olly Murs, 36, is one of the judges on ITV’s The Voice UK. Tonight, at 8:30pm, is the show’s second week of battle rounds, where contestants will go head-to-head in singing duels.
Olly is well-known for competing on the 2009 series of The X Factor, but more recently, he has made his mark as one of the judges on The Voice.
He is joined on the panel by Will.i.a.m, Anne-Marie, and Sir Tom Jones.
Meghan Trainor was a part of the panel during the last series of the show but wanted to spend more time at home this year, following the news of her pregnancy.
Former model and TV presenter Emma Willis is the host of the show.

Before The X Factor, Olly worked as a recruitment consultant in his home town, and he was also a contestant on Deal or No Deal in 2007 – his first TV appearance.
He returned to the celebrity version of the show in 2012, becoming the only person to appear on the programme as a contestant twice.
In 2009, Olly auditioned for the sixth series of The X Factor, performing Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.
He would go on to make the show’s final, becoming runner-up to winner Joe McElderry.
In 2010, Olly released his debut single Please Don’t Let Me Go, which reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in September of the same year, beating Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream.
A month later, his debut album, ‘Olly Murs’, was launched, reaching number two in the UK Albums Chart.
Since then, the singer has released five other albums and published two books, Happy Days in 2012 and On the Road in 2015.
As well as having a successful singing career, Olly has also presented and co-presented various TV shows.
In 2011, Olly co-presented The Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack, and the pair hosted The X Factor for one series in 2015.
In 2017, Olly joined the judging panel of The Voice UK, and in December 2018, he hosted ITV special Happy Hour with Olly Murs, inviting guests Bradley Walsh, Emma Willis, Megan McKenna, Rochelle Humes, Chris Hughes, and Kem Cetinay.
In his personal life, Olly bought a five-bedroom house in Toot Hill, Essex, in 2012.
He is currently in a relationship with City worker and body builder Amelia Tank, 27.
