Actor Yvette Nicole Brown is officially an engaged woman.

She broke the news on Tuesday while serving as a guest host on ABC’s “The View.”

“I have some news, and I heard that ‘The View’ is the place to announce things like this. I’m engaged,” Brown announced before holding up her hand to show off her engagement ring to the audience. “And he’s here! He’s here! That’s Tony,” she continued as she pointed to her fiancé Anthony Davis, who was in the audience.

“You are one lucky man,” co-host Sunny Hostin said to Davis before asking how the couple met. Brown then went on to share their fairytale love story and revealed the two were actually old acquaintances.

“We’ve known each other since we were in our 20s. We were in an acting class together at church years ago,” Brown said. “He’s an amazing actor, by the way. Anthony Davis, everybody. He was married at the time, and we were platonic friends, and then we lost touch for a few years.”

Brown and Davis reconnected when he reached out to her in 2021 to give his condolences on the passing of her mother.

“Then he found me,” she continued, although quickly clarifying, “after he divorced.”

The “Community” star shared that she believed that her late mother as well as his mom were the catalysts for their union coming to be.

“I feel like my mom and his mom kind of did it,” she offered. “He’s just wonderful … he’s a nice man, you guys. He’s a nice, kind, loving man.”

Davis returned Brown’s kind words gushing over his future bride simply stating “She’s just the most beautiful person in the world.”

After some prodding from her fellow co-host on details of Davis’ proposal, Brown relayed that she was visiting home to attend a ceremony after her alma mater, Warrensville Heights High School, had recently renamed its auditorium in her honor.

“We were celebrating that, and then [Davis] gave me a [lottery scratch card] and the scratcher said, ‘Will you marry me?’ ” she recalled, jokingly adding, “I thought I was going to win some money, and I won a man!”
