Bold and the Beautiful’s Kimberlin Brown Opens Up About Her Return: ‘Fans Were Going Crazy’
The following contains spoilers from the Monday, April 29 episode of the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
As speculated by TVLine’s TV Questions column and outright predicted by Soaps.com, The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Sheila Carter lives to darken more days.
The CBS sudser’s indefatigable villainess was (seemingly) killed off back in February, stabbed to death by Steffy Forrester. Then, in the April 5 episode of the daytime drama, the madwoman’s grieving fiancé, Deacon Sharpe, discovered that the corpse that was about to be cremated had 10 toes. Deacon as well as regular viewers know that Sheila only had/has nine, what with her having lopped one off in the summer of 2022 in order to convince Johnny Law that she’d been eaten by a bear.
Deacon’s suspicions were confirmed in the April 29 episode, when it was revealed that Sheila is very much alive and kickin’.
But if B&B‘s long-running Big Bad is still breathing air, who did Steffy kill…? As sister site Soaps.com correctly predicted, it was Sheila’s onetime accomplice Sugar (played in the mid-2000s by daytime legend Robin Mattson and, post-plastic surgery, Brown).
“I didn’t see this coming, quite honestly,” Brown shared in a Q&A with sister site Deadline.
Admitting that first getting the bad news about Sheila’s death from B&B executive producer Bradley Bell was “a hard pill to swallow,” Brown remarks that the unexpected turn of events “was a bit of a roller coaster ride for me, and I’m just so thankful that that roller coaster is back on the uphill swing.”
Brown says that Bell’s change of heart was “maybe … because of my fans, maybe everyone who was commenting, who made everything go viral” in the wake of Sheila’s apparent murder.
“I definitely saw the reaction,” she shares. “Fans were going crazy. They were blowing up. My social media and the stories that everybody wrote in regards to my exit were going viral. And that was amazing to me.”

Oh please. I’ve watched B&B for 30 years. Bradley is now leaning on the Sheila character (lazily), to drive interest in the show. No one cares until you bring Lauren back Brad.
The annoying character Sheila isn’t going to save this show!

know that it’s now a shell of the terrific soap opera that it once was !
It’s surprising that it hasn’t been cancelled!
This show has been ridiculously dumb where Lauren and Sheila’s history is concerned. Sheila resurfaces years ago and no one notifies Lauren? Lauren attends a Forrester fashion show a few months back and Sheila isn’t a talking point? Lauren confronts Deacon about his belief that Sheila is alive, Deacon reveals Sheila had been in contact with Sugar which adds credibility to Sheila being alive and Lauren just leaves LA without alerting the Forresters? All of this makes no sense! This lack of logic and episode after episode of repetitive dialog makes B&B one of the laziest and worst written soaps ever!
No, I’m tired of Sheila and all the drama and craziness. I wish they had stayed with storyline and her demise.
So Sheile has apparently been in an abandoned building, knocked unconscious 3 weeks ago and somehow didn’t die from starvation or malnutrition. 🤦♂️ I don’t blame the actors for this storyline, but the middle schoolers I teach could write a better storyline!

Plus, the dirty , hungry rats would have been trying to feast on her flesh🤢.
The writing is really bad.
Just about anybody could write better storylines than the writing team for B & B .
Sheila’s back! Please make Steffy’s life a living hell! I think they’ve been using the same script for 2-3 weeks, just switching out the characters. So glad Sheila is back! #tentoes

Hi Donna…how great is it….I hate that smug Steffy…she is always belittling her father’s wife and now cruel to Hope…someone needs to get her off her high horse…she needs her face slapped too

Actually, Steffy was looking out for her brother Thomas because HOpe was only using him for her own sexual gratification and
for an ego boost.
Thomas opened his eyes and realized that he needed to be away from HOpe!
Steffy is the only character with “gumption.” She’s the only really good actress on this soap since Quinn is gone. Our group can’t stand Hope. She’s a poor imitation of her mother, but acts all righteous and smug. Will she try to steal Finn from Steffy? Hope is so predictable.

It’s OK if Shiela returnsz, but can she be good and maybe Steffy be the villain. I liked the somewhat new and reformed Shiela. She should have a relationship with Finn. While Sreffy die from resentment and jealousy.

Yes!!! I was a days of our lives tv person growing up but these past few year I switch from watching just 1 episode of shelia I didn’t want to watch anymore when she killed off bravo 👏 on her return
This is truly a joyous time for me! Kimberlin Brown said Sheila is a character we love to hate. I love to love her and hate her. I love Kimberlin as an actress because of her raised eyebrow, her devious laugh, her evilness, her vulnerability. THIS is a character that is Bold AND Beautiful! I love Sheila evil, but when she had scenes with Deacon Sharp (Sean Kanan), there was a playful side to her! Sheila has done heinous things that might be hard for her to be totally forgiven, but I can, because she makes Bold & Beautiful electrifying. I stopped watching after February, but then, when they kept talking about Sheila in the beginning of April, I tuned back in because even when characters merely talk about Sheila, it is much more interesting than a Liam and whoever else triangle. I love that Sheila keeps everyone on their toes from self-righteous Steffy to pompous Bill Spencer. I wish she had some power to have a stake in Forrester Creations, then Brooke, Ridge, Hope, Eric, they would all have to put up with her, like they did with Alexis on Dynasty. Kimberlin Brown, you are a soap icon, and I could not be happier that you are back!!! Thank you, Bradley Bell-Christmas came Early!

I’m glad Sheila’s back, but you can’t tell me this was a last minute decision. The story showed her painting her nine toes shortly before her “death”, so soap never do things like that without being a plot line for the future!
I am NOT happy to see her back. Get rid of her for good. This is just too unbelievable. I’m sick of her!!!

NO! I was not happy to see that Shelia was back yet again. After all the heartache and danger she has put characters through in her history on both “The Bold and The Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless”, its been high time for Shelia to be dispatched to the grave. And, that’s putting it nicely. Unless, CBS has plans for her to show up as the same character on “The Gates” when it premiers.
I hope this time both doubles are alive that would make the story more interesting and both or one can squel on the other getting them both lock up in prdis
I am in the minority, I guess. The Sheila storyline has played itself out. It no longer surprises. I’d like to see B&B go in a new direction.

No. I wasn’t going crazy that Sheila was dead. I think they “brought her back” too soon. I wanted Steffy & Finn to get used to “life without Sheila” for a longer time. Steffy deserves a break from having to look over her shoulder ever since her wedding to Finn.
I’ll be disappointed if this makes Hope go after Finn because she “understands” him better.

Yes, I want her back. The others can be boring whereas she adds a bit of interest to the show. Deacon seems lost without her as anyone feels when their loves one dies. Give her a good airing. she has a more soffisticated aura.

I personally was glad she was gone from the show, I’m tired of the Sheila drama. Everytime you turn around they said her name, is that all you have???? You need a new storyline, or better writers. I stopped watching the show because of her, if you start up with her again you will lose a long time fan I’ve been watching the show since it first started.
