Tinsley Mortimer Finally Reveals How She Supports Herself Financially After RHONY Costars' Claim She Has an 'Arrangement' With Ex-Boyfriend Scott Kluth

Tinsley Mortimer is finally setting the record straight about how she supports herself financially and fighting back against a number of claims made by her Real Housewives of New York City co-stars.

During a recent taping of the RHONY After Show, Tinsley and her mother addressed the cast’s suspicions about the way in which she supports herself. Tinsley’s mother, Dale Mercer, also responded to the allegation that Tinsley ‘faked’ her breakup with on-again, off-again boyfriend Scott Kluth.

After admitting to spending a lot of money on clothing, Tinsley said she’s been blessed with “family money,” which she admitted “is nice” to have. She also noted that she doesn’t have the same amount of financial responsibilities as some of her co-stars.

“I don’t have a child that I pay for… You know, Sonja is having to buy flights and things, and clothing for her child.  Also, they have mortgages and houses. I’m just a single girl on my own,” Tinsley explained.

During season 11 of RHONY, the ladies of the show suspected that Tinsley was receiving money from Scott after making a supposed “arrangement” with him after their split. However, according to Dale, the women may have suggested such a thing out of jealousy.

“I think they just didn’t like you receiving these presents. They didn’t like it and they didn’t want you to be dating. And they wanted you to end things with him,” Dale said.

According to Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan, it simply didn’t make sense that Tinsley would be able to spend such large amounts on clothing without having someone else’s financial support.

“What do we have to do everyday to support ourselves? We have to go to a thing called a job and get a thing called a paycheck and usually with those paychecks, you can’t buy $3,000 and $4,000 worth of clothing at a shot and live in a $15,000 per month hotel. I mean, we’re not Cinderella,” Dorinda pointed out.

“Whatever… Scott doesn’t make me. This is crazy!” Tinsley said in response.

During another portion of the After Show, Tinsley said there was a swirling “conspiracy” during production on season 11 that had many of her co-stars convinced she and Scott were still together.

“My guess, my gut, would be that she stays quiet about him, she doesn’t say anything bad about him, she doesn’t disparage his reputation, she keeps their relationship secret and says they’re broken up because if they’re broken up, we won’t talk about him, and in return he keeps the credit card open,” Dorinda said.

Despite the speculation, Tinsley’s mom insisted that her daughter is not secretly dating Scott and added that she recently went out with a number of men during a trip to Palm Beach, Florida.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
