Miles Heywood (Terence Longdon) arrives at Heathercrest National Service Depot. Nick Williams identifies this as the old entrance to Pinewood Studios with houses on Pinewood Road visible in the distance. Jason Burrows adds that this is now where Goldfinger Avenue and Studio Drive meet, outside the building used for Els Bells Airport seen in 'Carry On Abroad'.

The other recruits arrive at the depot. Stoughton Barracks, Stoughton Road, Guildford in Surrey. The barracks were sold in 1983 for redevelopment.

The Bugler with Cardwell's Keep to the right. Stoughton Barracks. Many of the building still stand as residential properties. Cardwell's Keep now stands on Stoughton Road at the junction with Barrack Road in Guildford. Nigel Lee advises that the Bugle player is Guildford resident Mr. Douglas Court ho used to run a marching band for young people called the Guildford Drum and Trumpet Corp. Nigel adds "He was ex Army and worked as a builder with my Father in-law Mr. Edward Hood. Dougie, as we called him, had a Golden Retriever called Champ who was the Mascot for the band and marched with them."
