In the head-spinning age of multistep skin-care routines and mic-drop makeup launches, The One is a space for minimalists to sound off on the single beauty product that’s found a longtime spot in their carefully curated routines.

When Charlotte Lewis launched Ven Store in 2018, the London-based former fashion editor set out to create a collection of sartorial essentials that would make packing for life at 35,000 feet entirely seamless. Now, just as we are beginning to roam freely once again, Lewis—whose cashmere sweatsuits could be spotted on everyone from TyLynn Nguyen to Leandra Medine in the thick of quarantine—is introducing a new capsule of light-weight knits. In true Ven Store fashion, the polos, ribbed sweaters, and mother-of-pearl-buttoned cardigans are destined to lend an effortless, elevated touch to any ensemble. “I always describe [what we make] as thoughtless pieces,” Lewis says with a laugh. “You don’t have to think about it.”

It’s an ideology that she prescribes to her beauty routine, too: “The steps never change,” she explains of her no-fuss, three-pronged approach of cleanser, serum, and SPF, which she follows up with K-beauty brand Erborian’s Glow Crème—a constant in her cosmetics bag for the past seven years. “I’m so useless at doing makeup, but it’s the one thing that I can put on and suddenly it looks like I have great skin even if I don’t,” muses Lewis, who is nine months pregnant with her second child.

Most mornings, she’ll layer the subtle pearlized primer (which works wonders, she notes, on concealing any breakouts or bouts of redness) over her sunscreen, and then add on a touch of Nars concealer wherever necessary along with a swipe of Chanel’s rosy blush stick. The effect? A pore-perfect just-back-from-vacation radiance—no passport stamp required. Simply put: “I just feel like my best self when it’s on.”
