Synopsis:
Stargate SG1 is a science fiction TV show about a secret Air Force operation that uses a gateway, i.e. Stargate, to travel to distant worlds.
Their goal is to meet new species and hopefully trade technology and ideas with them. SG1 along with other SG teams are responsible for protecting Earth from aliens that might want to harm it. The series lasted for 10 seasons on various cable TV networks.
In season nine, Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell played by Ben Browder appears on the scene to take over the reins of the team after its longtime leader General Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) leaves for other duties.
