70 Celebrities You Definitely Forgot Were on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Probably the only time you’ll ever see Bill Nye, Zendaya, and Carole Baskin's names on the same list.
Everyone’s favorite reality show where celebs cha-cha their way to the Mirrorball trophy is back! As season 31 of Dancing With the Stars ramps up, it already seems like it might be the wildest yet. Thirty-one seasons is a LOT, and it's hard to keep track of which stars you’ve seen flop and which you’ve seen bop their way to the MF top. To help remind you of the celebrities of DWTS' past, enjoy this list of 70 past contestants. It's got everything—boy band members, talk show hosts, and, of course, Real Housewives.
Carole Baskin, Season 29 (2020)
If you were able to forget Carole Baskin and her tiger-themed dance, then OMG I am JEALOUS. It wasn't exactly Mirrorball-worthy, but at least she tried her best??
Heather Morris, Season 24 (2017)
The Glee star kinda had a leg up on the competition (she's a choreographer and was even a dancer on Beyoncé's tour) but somehow she was still eliminated waaaay earlier than we would've liked and went home during week six.
Kate Flannery, Season 28 (2019)
She may have be a little rough around the edges as Meredith on The Office, but Kate Flannery was a sweet baby angel on DWTS. She made it to week eight and her Mary Poppins dance is still one of the best out there.
Karamo Brown, Season 28 (2019)
The Queer Eye star brought his rhythm and personality to to show but sadly got the boot much too soon. And he wasn't afraid to say so, iconically calling out the fact that he got voted off before Sean Spicer, who literally could not dance.
Wendy Williams, Season 12 (2011)
The talk show host only made it through a couple weeks of Dancing With the Stars before being sent home, but she still gave us some stellar performances.
Hannah Brown, Season 28 (2019)
The former Bachelorette waltzed all the way to the Mirrorball trophy, but it wasn't ALL sunshine and rainbows. She got some (kinda uncalled for?) harsh critiques from judge Carrie Ann Inaba and the two had a pretty emotional confrontation during rehearsals. But clearly it all worked out for Hannah in the end!
James Van Der Beek, Season 28 (2019)
If there was ever anyone who was robbed of a DWTS win, it's James Van Der Beek. He was easily one of the best dancers of the season, but the Dawson's Creek star and his wife tragically experienced a miscarriage in the middle of the show and ultimately he went home.
Chrishell Stause, Season 29 (2020)
Chrishell may not have been the best ballroom dancer in world but she was having a great time, and that's all that matters, right?? The Selling Sunset realtor made it through to a few weeks of the show before getting eliminated.
Nev Schulman, Season 29 (2020)
Nev took a break from exposing catfish on national TV to throw on his dance shoes and tear it up on stage. And TBH, he was really freaking good and came in second place!
Johnny Weir, Season 29 (2020)
What happens when you take away an Olympic figure skater's ice skates and give them dancing shoes instead? Well, turns out, they still tear it up. Johnny and his beautiful leg extensions made it all the way to the DWTS semi-finals.
Audrina Patridge, Season 11 (2010)
Um, hello Audrina, where is Justin Bobby and why are you not dancing with him?? JK...sort of. The Hills alum joined season 11 of DWTS and was eliminated after six rounds.
Zendaya, Season 16 (2013)
The Euphoria star and Emmy winner had a delightful run came in second place, ultimately losing to country singer Kellie Pickler.
David Hasselhoff, Season 11 (2010)
I guess we'd trust David's lifeguard skills more than his dancing skills, which is like...very commendable. David was the first one eliminated in his season. Still #1 in our hearts, David!
Corbin Bleu, Season 17 (2013)
Looks like someone "got their head in the game." Corbin Bleu, the Disney star known for his High School Musical and Jump In! roles, placed second on his season of DWTS.
Kate Gosselin, Season 10 (2010)
Reality star Kate Gosselin took some much-discussed time in the spotlight to do the waltz and cha-cha, but the dancing didn't last long. She was eliminated after four weeks on the show.
Bindi Irwin, Season 21 (2015)
This might be one of the rare instances when we don't see Bindi Irwin carrying around a terrifying animal and instead wearing fabulous sparkly outfits. The wildlife conservationist won her season of DWTS with partner Derek Hough.
Lisa Rinna, Season 2 (2006)
Yes, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star *actually* got her reality TV start on DWTS. Bless this celeb dance competition!
Billy Ray Cyrus, Season 4 (2007)
Apparently, Miley Cyrus’s dad is good at more than just line dancing. He went out there and achy breaky broke a leg!
Nelly, Season 29 (2020)
You feel that? It's the dance floor heating up from the "Hot In Here" rapper. Nelly quickly won America's hearts with his smooth moves and sweet smile, finishing in third place with partner Daniella Karagach.
Kim Kardashian, Season 7 (2008)
More than a decade ago, Kim still needed that TV exposure. And you know what? She got it! Kim came in 11th place with Mark Ballas. We know you can’t dance, Kim, but that’s okay. We still love you.
