The Who – Who's Missing

This & Two’s missing do a marvellous job of mopping up the Brunswick tracks , that the rarities LPs left off . Still quite a bit missing, though- Melancholia / Fortune Teller/ Glittering Girl / Early Morning cold taxi to name a few

whos missing along with a second compilation lp twos missing where both released in 1987 and 1988 in both the us & uk, in the us the lp/ cd came out on MCA and in the uk both releases came out on polydor.......

this is the uk copy released on polydor records, the us copies where released on MCA nice collection here, i have both us and uk copies...........

i got both of these whos missing and twos missing decades ago and they still sound really good, for whatever reason the cd version of twos missing went oop very quickly back then and does not come easy, of coarse i have both mca us cds as well as the two lps and the two polydor uk lps, great collections for the mid 1980s...........

There was a Japanese CD SHM release of this that has 6 bonus songs that is not listed on the main release list page.

this was a very good compilation released in both the us on mca and in the uk on polydor in 1985, this was probably the first us compilation lp/cd that i can think of where a lot of obscure who tracks where featured as well as some that had never been issued in the us before as they where european b sides to singles, good essay by townshend on the back sleeve as by the mid 80s his solo stuff was awful ( my opinion) but i suspect some sort of contract obligations was the reason for this release, in 1987 a follow up to this with more obscure tracks was released called twos missing and john entwistle did the foward for that, i have both us, uk lp editions and cds as well of both of the whos missing and twos missing comps.........
